QUOTE(froggyx @ Apr 14 2017, 02:47 PM) Salleh keruak + TM = Liers to the bone to maximise vote and money.cant believe this till now people still believe and hoping that TM will make fiber available for the mass.if they really meant it they would have started long time ago when unifi was 'THE' internet service to have. you don't read it properly or you don't understand at all In the article, TM never asked or wanted to make their own fibre open to other companies free of charge. |

QUOTE(Xefron @ Apr 14 2017, 03:24 PM) you don't read it properly or you don't understand at all You will pay to 2 parties - the internet subscription to the Internet Service Provider PLUS the line rental to TM/Govt (eg RM25 for PSTN line we paid before Streamyx Combo). None of telecoms around the world will invest in the infra then open up for others to use for free!In the article, TM never asked or wanted to make their own fibre open to other companies free of charge. |

QUOTE(Xefron @ Apr 14 2017, 03:24 PM) you don't read it properly or you don't understand at all Im not referring to infrastructure of TM.im referring to the promises made during election and when they want to jack up the price.they can say they want to put fiber from town to the last durian tree at thai- malaysia border.but in reality the coverage sucks.even next road to my house which is less than 20 meter apart has unifi but my lane has no connection.been filling forms to request from 2011.if u truly want better coverage then do for all.every crook and cranny of corners in malaysia including kampung and rural area.In the article, TM never asked or wanted to make their own fibre open to other companies free of charge. |

– Bernama CODE 1)Passive Infrastructure 1st tier is now being handled by neutral TNB who isn't involved with ISP businesses. TNB will only lay dark fibres which they lease to anyone interested as long as they have spare cores available for backhaul. 2)Active Network Providers These are companies which set up their own switching equipments, DSLAMs, OLTs, BGP core routers, and gateways Example of such active networks we have today are TM's HSBB, Maxis's NGBB, Time Fibre, Symphonet, DiGi and Umobile. 3)Retail Service Providers (RSP) or "Perkhidmatan Runchit" These are ISPs who rent bandwidth or buy wholesale services from network providers/active wholesale segments to provide last mile itnernet services to consumers. The good thing is that now all other ISPs such as Time no longer needs to be forced to leased whole packages from TM Wholesale. They only need to lease dark fibre from TNB and then spent for last mile equipment to potential markets they want to serve. |

QUOTE(YoungMan @ Apr 14 2017, 07:19 PM) Not covered by TNB... These areas will be covered by Sacofa, which is related to Sarawak Energy! The state Government is willing to invest RM1bil in Fibre network, if the Malaysian Government is committed to pay for another RM1bil. This post has been edited by ClarenceT: Apr 14 2017, 07:47 PM |

Looks like TM updated their Unifi Coverage check website. They've added coverage check via Google Maps..It seems like the Unifi Lite is gonna launch within the next few days.
https://tm.com.my/#/explore But I'm curious about something, the map has a red dot indicator in some area and I don't know what that means.Hope that you guys could explain it. |
