Is Digi doing any network upgrading now? 4G speeds used to be good in Ipoh last year, but this year seems to be worse.

My area is listed to have 4G coverage, but I'm struggling to even lock to 4G in my house now.

I changed my plan from Postpaid 110 to Postpaid 150 INFINITE last week Friday and today I received a SMS that my plan had successfully changed, really within 7 days. thumbup.gif

My area speed around 10 Mbps. Should be enough for HD or Full HD movie stream right?

I changed on Wednesday last week from PP50 to I80 and until now no SMS :!

So once the 12 month period is over, subsequent how much we need to pay for tethering for the I80 plan?

Use gnettrack to check
Digi network:
Cell ID 0xx = LTE 900mhz
Cell ID 1xx = LTE 2600mhz
Cell ID 2xx = LTE 1800mhz

Update: DiGi has enabled full 15mhz bandwidth for its 1800mhz sites at KLANG VALLEY only (from 10mhz previously)
Lets go abuse the network .....

Hi, how can we know it has been enabled? Any news about other sites?

U can know when ur upload speed over 25mbps-30mbps when connect to cell id 2xx
OR
ur download speed over 75mbps when connect to cell id 2xx (connect to 4G only, not 4G+)
I think he meant how to know whether the site is 15mhz or 10mhz  blink.gif

If we're on the I80 plan, I guess we wouldn't know since it is capped @5MBps. Guess the only difference could be observing the quality of the 4G connection where stable or not?

If celcom release something unlimited like digi infinite, i don't see any "better" plan to compare because unlimited is already maximum.
User only can compare to price and coverage.
Maybe they can improve addon to counter like bundle with device, cheaper sub line....
*
There should be some differentiation to make their promotion more appealing, else it will be difficult to force the users to migrate from their existing plans. Currently all major telcos are in the midst of re-assigning their spectrum, so not sure this can be used as a key differentiator since we may encounter some problems with the network within our respective telcos.

Maybe, a cheaper unlimited package with higher speed cap (10Mbps) and unlimited tethering (for 1 or 2 devices) with unlimited calls and SMS will entice some of us eh?

Would prefer to have also free hotspot pass if there's such new plan. And perhaps throw in a higher capped speed.
