Hopefully DiGi ban this guy.

Causing other people to suffer is not good. Once DiGi banned this guy, the bandwidth will free up.  rclxms.gif

By the way, is Volte enabled everywhere in DiGi network?

Get off your high horse. If you want the guy banned, the reason should be TnC violation and nothing else. You don't even know if he's the one behind your area's congestion.

And don't assume people have the same habit as you.

Seriously, the word abuse have been thrown around here a lot. It was advertised as unlimited, and you expect people to only use it for wasap and fb? It's well within their (and your) rights.

i. Peer to peer downloads is capped at 64kbps
iv. The Plans are for personal usages only and not applicable to any commercial usages in any business premises including but not limited to restaurants, Internet café, game center or call center etc as well as other non-legitimate purpose to be determined by Digi. The Plans are not for reselling/rental purpose for profit or huge and continuous information transfer that affects the other Customers.

Using it for commercial purpose instead of personal. Bypassing the p2p limit. Now that is abuse.

Funny people.

I think TVB drama is all P2P.
Mine is 4G but no Volte.
High horse is for people not affected directly by congestion.
By doing 500GB, he should be:-
a) P2P with VPN
b) commercial purpose
Tell me how you do 500GB within 1 week? You let me know la. Did you do 500GB in 1 week? If you're not, then you're
the one on high horse trying to justify abnormal data usage.

500GB in 1 week is abuse.
If you're downloading 500GB in 1 week, yes, he is the one causing network congestion.

Your habit of assuming things + being judgmental makes you a snob. Thus, the statement still stand.

I can't reach 500GB in a week (hell I don't even use this infinite plan) but doesn't mean other people are same as me. It's not hard. The guy knows what he wants, and where he can get it so he got it.

Seriously I don't understand why people only consider p2p to spend the bandwidth. Ever heard of direct download? He could be doing that...or maybe he's tethering to people under the same roof...

...which is fine, it's within their rights. Your anger is blind n misplaced.

QUOTE(tohff7 @ Apr 3 2017, 12:42 PM)
500GB in a week is obviously something violating the TnC la bro. Let's take an extreme, assuming he streaming 4K HDR content from Netflix. Estimate 7-10GB data usage per hour.

So in 1 week, he would need to spend 50-71 hrs on 4K HDR content to reach that 500GB usage. 7-10 viewing hours in a day. Not that it cannot be done, but ada byk masa dan TV contents to watch ke? Itu pun assuming speed maintain at 20-25Mbps consistently rolleyes.gif

1st of all, understand that we are all speculating. Got it, okay. Then, stop being so judgmental.

Why do you think it violates, TnC, I wonder.

Let's say, 20Mbps, flat/consistent. To spend 500Gb, it could take 60 hours. Spread over 7 days, 8 hours a day.

Let's say, 10Mbps, flat/consistent. To spend 500Gb, it could take 120 hours. Spread over 7 days, 17 hours a day.

Let's say, 7Mbps, flat/consistent. To spend 500Gb, it could take 170 hours. Spread over 7 days, 24 hours a day.

You assume torrent? How about direct download? That's not p2p, so it's not a violation. You don't need to find a VPN workaround whatsoever.

What if those people are tethering to other device since there's more than one people in the household? You think it's a violation? Do the math. Consider all the variables.

You see the problem here? Assumption is a dangerous thing bro. You said "obviously something violating the TnC la bro", which is what? You can't pinpoint it?

You're saying, you will use the internet however you want, and then you'll think about your neighbors and then stop? Ok. That other guy said he only need 150GB max. If something came up which might make him use more bandwidth, is he gonna consider how he might contribute to the congestion? Ok. Get off your high horse.

Seems like if something is against you, you'll scream bloody murder "it's abuse". When it's not. At least not until proven. I'm not defending the violators. Obviously that guy using it for CC deserve to be spanked hard. If you still don't get what I'm trying to say then there's no point already.

I rest my case.

The owner of the unit got tired of asking tm bout it. Can't really do anything bout it too so I was thinking of just getting my own internet ergo infinite 150.

Went to a digi store earlier to inquire about expat application for infinite 150. The person was not sure so he tried calling someone (maybe his supervisor or whoever), and coincidently, we heard the phone ring beside us, so the person he is calling left the phone. After that, he just told me that it is not available anymore. smile.gif

Any one using infinite 150 for online gaming? (Mmorpg or moba). How is it in terms of dc-ing and ping? biggrin.gif

Try asking on FB - https://web.facebook.com/digi/

As for gaming, should be good. For me ping is consistently below 40ms. People said <100ms is already ok. Should invest on a good modem/router.
