QUOTE(JJKTP @ Apr 1 2017, 06:41 PM) Heard that DiGi open up limited change of plan for current postpaid subscribers for this to certain super dealer only...that's what I heard...In fact this is not for new registration I am just offering the service here interested come not interested no issue No force taken...don't need to pay first until succeeded change of plan... It's still a business for DiGi though No point reporting to DiGi for giving them business This post has been edited by SSHPowerSurf: Apr 1 2017, 06:49 PM |

QUOTE(nas @ Apr 2 2017, 10:48 AM) Is Digi doing any network upgrading now? 4G speeds used to be good in Ipoh last year, but this year seems to be worse. Actually beginning last year, most telcos are doing spectrum reallocation upgrading exercise and it will affect user, heard that it will last long till somewhere in JUNE 2017...My area is listed to have 4G coverage, but I'm struggling to even lock to 4G in my house now. QUOTE Spectrum Reallocation Exercise Begins As MCMC Cautions of Service Disruptions on Celcom, Digi, and Maxis The spectrum reallocation exercise involving four telcos in Malaysia will see three of them affected by service disruptions for the next seven months. Areas affected by the exercise will see Malaysians on Celcom, Digi, and Maxis facing temporary degradation. This was revealed by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) in a press statement released earlier on its official Facebook page, as the three telcos begin migrating their base stations to operate within the newly reallocated spectrum blocks. In February this year, the MCMC announced its intention to reallocate spectrum in the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands among the four major telcos in Malaysia (Celcom, Digi, Maxis, and U Mobile). These two bands were assigned for a fee to the telcos, and operable for the next 15 years. Previously, these bands were used for 2G networks, and after the reallocation, telcos will now work on refarming their respective spectrum allocations into 4G networks and above. The reallocation sees Digi allocated 2x5MHz of the 900MHz band, and 2x20MHz of the 1800MHz band. U Mobile has been allocated 2x5MHz and 2x15MHz of the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands respectively. Meanwhile, the reallocation saw Maxis’ previous allocation reduced to 2x10MHz and 2x20MHz for the 900MHz and 1800MHz bands respectively. Celcom’s previous allocation has also been reduced to 2x10MHz in the 900MHz band, and 2x20MHz in the 1800MHz band. While the service degradation seems like a long period to live with, the exercise will mean improved service from all telcos when the exercise is completed in June 2017, as the reallocation will allow telcos to begin refarming and upgrading of base stations into faster network standards. QUOTE(zher4883 @ Apr 3 2017, 10:37 PM) LTE Cat 6 speed is only achievable via Carrier Aggregation or commonly known as LTE-A but LTE Cat 6 doesn't automatically equals to LTE-A as LTE-A can achieve much higher speed. Thanks for the clarification broI have read this from another forum posted...is that true anyone can confirm ? QUOTE baru register digi unlimited rm150..perghh mmg terbaik..boleh hostport 6 user... ingat buat hostport dari hanphone shj..sim card kena letak dlm phone shj baru boleh buat hostport.. tak boleh letak dlm mifi/broadband/portalwifi...digi akn block..(satu kekurangan)..so kena standby satu phone utk buat hostport.. |

QUOTE(prosibu @ Apr 3 2017, 10:48 PM) No....... Oh WOW !! ..what a lengthy explanation given...Cat series is how fast the speed is..... for example cat 6 max can reach 300mbps, but how? the answer is by LTE-A but LTE-A does not make your speed reach 300mbps... seems complicated.... OK, lets talk from spectrum.... 10mhz can run till 75mbps 20mhz can run till 150mbps 40mhz can run till 300mbps (this is the cat 6 device can reach) but, u know every countries got diff amount of telcos, government has to allocate to all telco then something happen like malaysia lo every telco giving 10mhz of LTE2600 then all ppl capped at 75mbps even though they have cat 6 devices. LTE-A / CA introduced: to solve the issue above, LTE/A aka CA comes. u can use 900mhz, 1800mhz, 2100mhz, 700mhz, bla bla bla to combine together can become 20mhz till 40mhz to get the 300mbpz currently in malaysia: Maxis (20mhz 2600 + 10mhz 1800) --- unsure Celcom (20mhz 2600 + 10mhz 1800) --- unsure U Mobile (10mhz 2600 + 15mhz 1800) --- total 25mhz DiGi (10mhz 2600 + 10mhz 1800) --- total 20mhz of coz, you can combine 3 different frequency or even 4... if u willing to buy flagship phones BUT!! there is 2k LTE devices in the world. with so many combination of CA, not every OEM willing to do LTE2600+LTE1800 for malaysia/asian this includes our beloved huawei, xiaomi, oppo, vivo <----- most of the phones states CAT6 in gsmarena as they really support CA for TDD LTE and those stated 2CA in gsmarena doesnot mean it support 1800+2600, maybe 2100+900 or 700+900, nobody knows... Actually im also quite confused when i draft this. Conclusion: 1) LTE-A =/= cat 6. LTE-A is combination of 2 freq. cat 6 is max the device can reach. 2) if you want CA for your respective telco, test it with the telco sim in the test phone at the LTE-A coverage, else waiting ppl post speedtest here... 3) u can just ignore my bxllshxt here if you buy samsung flagship/iphones series So not all devices will support our frequency here in MY although its stated CAT6 ready, am I right ? Because it could be mix and match frequency probably wont cover our respective telco frequency allocation.. I think I understand, so important is, need to look deeper for the certain devices specifications... I also confused...haha |

QUOTE(mycrystal88 @ Apr 5 2017, 04:46 PM) hi seniour and sifu You better confirm your area is covered with 4G/LTE-A...else rugi onlyi just got my infinite 150 , my testspeed so so only , i guess my mifi is 3g only , as refer above posting. for better speed , we should go for "LTE-A 300Mbps aka Cat 6 are all supported for LTE-A ?" can anyone recommend me , which Mifi , Wifi router ( built in 4g sim ) or USB 4g lte-a dongle for Maximun Speed ? Brand and model number ? thank all.[B] If you have 4G phone or borrow awhile from your friend, put your sim as test the speed first then see how it goes |
