there's no other ways except using app like open signal to check cell id.. CMIIW

U can know when ur upload speed over 25mbps-30mbps when connect to cell id 2xx
OR
ur download speed over 75mbps when connect to cell id 2xx (connect to 4G only, not 4G+)

If you have rooted phone, you could use network signal guru. It will show the band for the LTE right up.

if you have an iPad/iPhone, you can see the band and download bandwidth
