If I read correctly, the s8 is using newer sensor compared to S7. But the specs sounds the same.

Most people aware. Sony need company like Apple and Samsung or even Chinese company to demonstrate their sensor capabilities. Why? Sony themselves in typical ignorant fashion unable to unleash full capabilities of their sensor. Proof? Observed all their Z and X series phone.

Aside from still image,, their steadyshot for video pretty good though.

Any real genuine concern about s7e build quality? Your statement as if the s7e suffered from poor quality.

Anyway, I believe quite many people still using or having the 1st batch of s7e in their collection, including mine.

So far don't have any issue pertaining to build quality. It served me and now serving my dad very well.

The matte one still suffer with dot rainbow effect. Not nice.

After using their matte version on pixel, for S8 will go with normal clear coat.
