Yes I don't buy based entirely on specs alone.
But that's the trend with 90% of Android reviewers out there. Specs come first. Usability and bugs later. Worst is Youtube reviews. If the specs are top end, hype it first. Then they will do a 1 month/3 months/6 months/1 year later revisit talking about the same shit pretending they have been using the phone for that long. Skipped all the hidden bugs and issues. That's why I don't trust reviewers any more.

And what happened to the remaining 10% reviewers who are honest? They got bashed.

My guess was 3499 for S8 plus haha. And 10% off for preorder.

It really is. If you ask me S7E vs P10 Plus, I will still choose S7E. Unless one is really careless and is afraid of the edge display no reason to choose P10 plus really.

Kirin 960 is just a bit faster than Oxynos 8890 but much more expensive (P10 plus vs S7E).

Although Huawei P10 is a decent phone, I still think it's too expensive. Should not be 2499.

If irenic's leaked price is true, then P10 Plus is not appealing at all.

However mainstream people may differ. A few people asked me regarding what phone to buy, I can say most people want to avoid the Samsung edge display. They are scared of breaking it...So it may backfire. And the Leica brand marketing strategy is really effective. Everyone is talking about it.

To be honest, in real life usage we won't be able to tell much. At least wait another 6 months to a year, when the software finally catch up in utilizing the resources, then we can tell.

Mate 9 has FHD but better processor as andrekua2 said. S7E has 1440p AMOLED and IP68. Camera I think both are comparable and subjective.
Then there are tiny details like earphone jack output quality, high quality mic recording etc. I've never used Huawei phone before so I can't comment on those. But these are the weak parts of OnePlus 3 actually.

Yes and no.
Note 5 is closer to S8's height but the width is quite big diff! Note 5 is very wide.

Basically S8 = S7 (5.1 inch version) with edges and lengthened height + home button removed.
