Agreed. The Xperia Z5 got it right the first time - two slots for SIM and one slot for microSD. It means you don't have to decide between storage and a roaming SIM when you're travelling.

Unfortunately, the later Xperia models and the Samsung phones have been going for the hybrid SIM/microSD slot. Disappointing but ah well, still better than a single SIM tray.

Does it affect screen quality or touch screen sensitivity?

Also, is there a noticeable layer around the phone?

Not sure what's the usual screen protection option for curved screen phones. Seems like clear plastic screen protectors is a no-go?

Considered P10 very briefly but I cannot get over that fingerprint scanner at the front. Terrible for use as primary buttons (back, home, app switcher), and annoying aesthetically if you use software buttons instead.

Well, if you think there will be discounts by other retailers after official release and not interested in the free gift, then it makes sense to wait.

In my case, bought Z5 officially with Sony but days later, gemfive offered rm300-400 discount.

S8 prices are cheap relative to rest of world though so not sure how much margin there is to slash prices

Agreed - I started off thinking I'd get midnight black but the orchid gray really grows on you. In the end pre-ordered the orchid gray.

Really like the shifting colour depending on lighting condition.

The urge and reason to upgrade is definitely getting less and less.

Had a harder time convincing myself to jump from Xperia Z5 to S8 because the Z5 is still going strong.

In the end, I hopped over pretty much only for the sleek design, bezel-less screen and camera lol (Sony camera is so damn slow)
