The front looks gorgeous. If I were to upgrade, it'll be my 1st phablet sized phone. The thing that keeps me from being 100% sold on this phone is that I feel like samsung is holding up on things. Like they keep few things from this phone on purpose then go all out for next note series. Lol.

But most youtube reviews are positive. Even d akward FP scanner placement got a "maybe requires some getting used to" approval.

Not sure if can hard lock as u mentioned but if u are using norton anti-virus, there are options for u to lock the device if SIM is removed or changed and wipes all data after 10 failed unlock attempts.

The above 2 method can also be found in default phone setting except it allows 15 failed unlock attempts before it wipes your data.

With these at least your details and samsung pay especially are protected in a way the other person could not have access.

It is purely my hobby as a smartphone enthusiast. Well I am not the only one here. I even had the underrated n many said expensive Oppo Rs9 plus . I must say critics simply don't know what they are saying without even testing it out. With even a SD653 processor it performs equally  well as say V20, Mate9 series, S7e, OP3T, HTC U Ultra. Just because it has a SD653 chip doesn't make it poor. Yes I do agree it is comparatively more expensive. Most amazing is it's very fast app installation which shame most SD820, SD821 phones. The phone s super ultra smooth too.
Many look down at SD650,652 chipset but I must say I had good time w them on MiMax, A9pro

it is not that really long i manage to play with s8+ during my visit at vodafone, westfield.. the height is just like the iphone 7 plus, but it really comfortable at my hand. i thought i'm holding the galaxy s8 until the lady told me the set is actually s8+.

You don't get it at all. Even S7e slows down when overheat. Kirin 960 had A73 which is what Snapdragon 835 and Exynos 8895 has. It's all about sustained performance. If you only do benchmark and not gaming, then you won't know what it's all about. You want higher peak performance or higher sustained performance over a longer period of time.
Look beyond the process node. It's the same architecture inside 960 and 8895. Yes, it's will be slightly faster due to it being on 10nm but Huawei planning the same on 970.
