You can google around on how the Tab S2 has been a good sell in some parts of developing countries, hence the decision and the guts for Samsung to release another version, even so, their latest is not really under-specced in nature. There's demand. I am only voicing out here out of spirit of discussion, not really wanting to argue on how somebody utilizes an Android tablet since there are gigantic phones  being released every single month, so why would anyone need a tablet, rightt.. Maybe you are correct in a way that in Malaysia, such tablet isnt in great demand. I dont have any sale figures for Malaysia btw.

Quite sure it will be limited. For Note 7, I remember it was about 5000 from Samsung and another 4-5000 to Courts, Yes n others. All sold out I recall within half a day

Coming from a Mate 8, I would say that the performance is not too inferior to the S7 Edge in real life usage unless you're into heavy gaming, although the benchmark scores are vastly different. However the difference in camera quality is night and day. Also, EMUI is not for everyone.

My friend bought S7e at rm500 discount few days back. The center straight away gave him discount without need of so called using Samsung app. The shop is only Samsung official authorised retail at my place

so comparing to Sony camp, rumors are that XZ Premium will priced at rm3399-3499, which aims at S8+, they have a junior flagship which is XZs RRP priced at rm2899, but using 2016's SoC Snapdragon 820

Xperia XZP/XZs unique selling point is just the slow-mo camera

now S8/S8+ needs to prove that it can achieve better in imaging department despite lower MP

as a consumer i don't pay much attention to the sales figures

rather it is what kind of things i can get by paying ~rm3100 and no more

so with this budget, S8 and XZs comes into picture

which in this point, S8 wins hands down

currently using Z5P which launched at rm3099 (same launch RRP as S6 dual edge in 2015) , the problem with Sony now is the XZs seems like a rip off version of flagship due to its exorbitant pricing, while using leftover chips from 2016.

registration of interest looks more like a way for Samsung to harvest email address. you need to agree to let them email you other promotional stuff, etc..
