Plug it direct ? Of course cannot. The Microsoft Wireless Adapter will detect the signal.

I dont think so.

Actually it works like this ;

Modem -> Router -> Homeplug 1 ( power socket ) -> Homeplug2 (Next to ur 360).

Yeah i think so. Better check out Xbox.com to find the compatible routers and if not, ask around which router is working perfectly with the xbox360.

Through my pass experience, i think ( I might be wrong ) that almost all routers are compatible. It is just that how u set the settings.

Xbox can auto-detect the settings, but some settings like the MTU and etc you have to manually enter.

Are you on Streamyx? How come USB modem?

Is there an ethernet jack behind the modem?

Because routers usually connect to modems via your regular ethernet cable.
In any case, if you intend to have both our computer and x360 online at the same time, you'd need a router. I use a Netgear RP614 router, and an Aztech ADSL Ethernet/USB modem. You can check the LYN front page for prices on those PDFs there.

I guess any other DSL router should work too.

Mine dun not have a ethernet jack..I use USB coz i applied for streamyx around 2004 and the plan at dat time have optional of using own modems..forgot bout it de..

If mine dun have ethernet port,so the router that i muz get muz be one that can act as a modem rite?
