Barely 1 day into patch 7.2, people already noticed now world mob power is scaling with your ilevel. Apparently, the sweet spot of ilevel is now 850, because if your ilevel is more than 850, the world mob power will scale accordingly so you end up feeling like you never progress beyond ilevel 850. Currently workaround is to take off one of your ring to drop your ilevel to as close to 850 as possible. Then the mob power will be adjusted and since you only lose secondary stat, it does not affect your power too much. https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/6239i...bottom-comments

Indirectly this means ilvl is meaningless unless you raid or pvp in high rating, we won't feel "strong" in world content?

QUOTE(helven @ Mar 31 2017, 08:50 PM) Indirectly this means ilvl is meaningless unless you raid or pvp in high rating, we won't feel "strong" in world content? latest news stated Blizzard has readjust the scaling so those with > 850 ilevel won't feel as "strong" as before, but will still feel stronger. they did this by increasing mob health so it will take longer time to kill. previously they also increased mob damage, and was tuned so much that some people actually almost died trying to kill an "easy" mob before the patch. https://www.pcgamesn.com/world-of-warcraft/...2-power-scaling
