Hello forumers,this is my 2nd personal case modding but its the first time i post it in LYN..

Ill pretty much have to count on you guys to give me ideas beyond my basic ones cause all i have right now is a vision in my mind.

The only thing i may lack is creativity so ill say once again i hope to get some new ideas here.

Also my technical english is kinda weak so excuse me if ill have some trouble explaining what exactly im doing or naming the tools with their actual names.

Hope you guys will help me thru my modding.. critics n comments are mostly wellcome..

Dont attach pics dude. Use a photo hosting site like Imageshack or Photobucket. All worklogs must use photo hosting. Pls do that n post the pix again in 800x600 size.

Matte Black

your components will stand out more becuz of the contrast(matte=non reflective)...

Send it to a chromer... never seen ppl do it here on lyn...

Dont do that. The local chroming services r really bad. They only chrome a really light layer. N the chrome looks really bad. It doesn't haf the deep lustrous kinda shining chrome u c on like Harley Davidsons. Unless u know the shop personally n the guy promises to really chrome it to the max.

if can get a good chrome job..that would be sweet man!!

bro,do u mean flat black.flat black is ok cuz is does not shine n reflect..but all my hardware is black..

chroming..? It must be hard to maintain the color bro,im afraid that it will turn yellowish..

good chrome will never turn yellowish

i saw a chrome can spray,but i dont think that it will be the exact chrome..

chrome spray doesn't work.... it will look like silver.... chrome work have to be send to chromers , they use electricity to coat the chrome...

owh i see,but at my place here its very rare to find chroming place,thats y i prefer other color..

I juz need i permanent color for this case..

Interior and exterior.It can be matte,metallic,solid,pearl BUT not fluorescent..

why dun you try mirror shine black....
but need a lot of work lar....

about the work,it wont bother much,cuz i will ask the paint guy to do it..

Haiya. i never experienced using a paint gun and a compressor before.. i odnt want to use can spray bcoz the quality is not as good as gun spray..

Those parts r gonna rust. Not worth ure effort dude. U shud only polish aluminum. When u polish steel parts like that, u cut them right down to bare metal n there's no more protection from corrosion n it'll rust.

uncle is there any way that we can protect those bare metal?

Clear coat/lacquer.
Careful not to hit the circuits, although there shouldn't be much issues even if it does...

that one i know... what i wan to know is..once we polished to shine those bare metals...how to coat...dun think clear coat or lacquer can stick..

That is not polishing. It's chromed. U can c the plastic is also chrome. BTW, r those pics of the chromed parts ures? If they aren't, pls gif credit to the person who owns those pics.

Oh Uncle really expert in case modding. Juz c d pic oledi can trace it's chromed.
IMO u guys can juz spray those polished parts 2 protect it from corrosion

no update ka? how is the polishing goin?

Well,the profect is still on the run..Its juz dat i have to delay it bcoz i juz burned down my PSU,

Maybe ill continue with more updates within diz weeks..

oh well he already said that those are only examples

Btw, i think it is polishing.
You cant say the whole thing is not polished just because of the plastic may be chromed.

Is it Silverstone,Coolermaster or Ocz (2nd hand modstream)

Budget below rm 450..

For RM450, i'd suggest you to get the Enermax Liberty 500W

500Watt True Power
Modular Cables
Supports SLI / Crossfire [If you wish to use em]

It's enough power for everything.

Have you heard about thermaltake 700watt though power...? Is it good..?

That IS chrome. U cannot polish normal steel to that kinda sheen. Aluminum will get near that kinda sheen but not steel. I know it's steel becoz there's no ROM devices with aluminum bodies. Plus the plastic faceplate is chromed, meaning everything in there is chromed.

Depends on what kind of case u using dude
If u using full tower case i would recommend u go 4 Tt though power.
If u use medium tower case d OCZ modstream would be best wif its cable management modular connectors
Ur case won't look messy n full of cables if u go 4 OCZ modstream

Yup,the original skull are already equipped with a eye patch.
