Hi all, I'm just curious since I bought an acrylic casing the other day...

Does anyone here hav an acrylic casing... if so, any problems encountered with it so far (eg. static electricity since no proper grounding, kena electric shock, system unstable, temps on the high side, mobo+components fried, dust accumulation)?

Quite scared now (mostly because of my baby 7900GT) since I did some research on the net and some say ok but some say acrylic cases memang attract static charge and not so good for PC performance...

Arcylic casing where got eletric shock? laugh.gif
Plastics can't conduct electricity. sweat.gif

Edit: Owh wait, you're talking about electrostatic. laugh.gif
Hmm...

Let bro sniper answer this.

i was thinking bout the electrostatic problem too
since acrylic isnt electrical conductive,
so the static cannot groung through mobo plate to the psu
and out through the ground wire
there might be problem if use in an aircon room

because uh...
because uhhh...
here http://www.madsci.org/posts/archives/may20...42901.Eg.r.html

and to my understanding
the acrylic is a kind of plastics
and will retain static electricity

so instead of leaking the esd to surrounding air
or through conventional metal casing.....
it will retain the charge till it is enuff to jump to "somewhere"

well that is my understanding laaa
might be wrong also... laugh.gif
