On April 15 at 2:30PM ET/11:30AM PT at Star Wars Celebration, we’ll be presenting during the “The Galaxywide Premiere of Star Wars Battlefront II” panel.
To break the good news about content updates, DICE drafted Janina Gavankar, who plays the protagonist of Battlefront II’s singleplayer campaign.
“The team at DICE heard our feedback loud and clear on the previous Battlefront, and are committed to keeping this community together with themed seasons of content post-launch for all players at no additional charge,” she said.
The first free update will arrive this holiday season, adding bits including Finn and Captain Phasma as playable characters.
“The first season, inspired by Star Wars: The Last Jedi, is only the beginning of the additional content coming to this game,” Gavankar continued. “All post-launch heroes, maps, weapons, and vehicles will be free for everyone who owns Star Wars Battlefront II.”

one thing i hate playing fps using pc is because of the cheaters. It spoils the game entirely. If i can use keyboard and mouse on consoles i definitely play using consoles, hack proof.
maybe hack proof. but definitely not hardware hacking proof. try lag switching (both PC & console have it) or rapid fire mods.
the real problem is EA (and to some extent, Activillian's COD series) doesn't use a good enough anticheat tool. Unlike Blizzard, Valve (VAC) and even Ubisoft (battle eye).
err i have my 2nd thought after i play the beta it totally screw up the game with greedy loot crate progression.. it a next gen triple A mobile game. Pay 2 win game.
yeah the fact that character progression is locked behind loot crates is going backwards. that is why we told our whole community to not buy the game.
- There are many things you can earn in the game, including weapons, attachments, credits, Star Cards, Emotes, Outfits and Victory Poses. - As a balance goal, we’re working towards having the most powerful items in the game only earnable via in-game achievements. - Crates will include a mix of of Star Cards, Outfits, Emotes or Victory Poses. - Players earn crates by completing challenges and other gameplay milestones, or by purchasing them with in-game credits or Crystals, our premium currency. - If you get a duplicate Star Card in a crate, you will get crafting parts which you can then use to help upgrade the Star Card of your choice. - And lastly, you have to earn the right to be able to upgrade Star Cards and unlock most Weapons. You can only upgrade or unlock them if you have reached a high enough rank, which is determined by playing the game.
