QUOTE(Evoque @ Sep 23 2011, 07:26 PM)
Hi, I need some advice. My current tire size: 185/55/16. Is there any size for 195/60/16? 55 makes my drive very bumpy, not pleasant driving.

I prefer comfort, silent & good grip on wet. Pls advise..
*
From 185/55/R16 to 195/60/R16 is too big. Diameter is 4.77% bigger.
Best to use 195/55/R16. 1.76% bigger but tyres very expensive and not much choices

hello.. pls suggest me a Goodyear brand tyre.. which model is the best for my Kelisa 1.0 ?
pls recommend me only Goodyear model. because my bro can get 30% for that brand.

i am using : 165/55/R14 72H

i need      : 1 = Fuel Saving
                  2 = Long lasting
                  3 = Grip
                  4 = Silent

sort by priority from 1 - 4  tongue.gif

Bro., you don't have much choice. If GY tyres, only have 2 models, that have your size.
Duraplus and Ducaro GA....

so which one is better? what do u think  smile.gif

Duraplus is newer, launch not long ago. Ducaro older model, quite long ago, but both are entry models.
For durability should be duraplus, the name also say so.... biggrin.gif

i think i go for DuraPlus since its can last up to 30% longer can go more than 100,000km of service. smile.gif
*
You travel a lot?
For me I try to get the best grip, not long lasting, as I travel much less and I don't want to use the tyres more than 3 years. 4 years Maximum as the rubber compound will harden and the grip suffers.....

ok i will further ask there, if toyo trampio vimode is still available i would want to get those tyres, that would be good, tyre shop i went told me toyo tyre got so expensive these days that its size 14" is hard to come by, most dealers cant bother with too expensive small sized tyres, probably due to small potential buyers

no problem bro, just drop me a pm and i'll see what i can do. it is in fact possible to have an exhaust system which posses outstanding performance at street level noise
*
Yup, most performance tyres are now in 15"

Not sure which shop have but you can call/contact the distributor for more info:-

Evo-Trend Corporation (M) Sdn. Bhd.
Lot 32-B1, Jalan 532A, Off 6 1/2 miles, Jalan Kepong
Kepong Industrial Area,
Kuala Lumpur

However the contact number have a misprint (I think) because it came as
Tel: 603-6257 13333, so it is either 1333 or 3333......

Any recommendations for 215/55R17 or 225/55R17? Intended for a Mitsu ASX, so, not for speeding/performance purposes. High priority on Comfort and low noise, decent wet & dry handling

Advan dB still have no members using, but C-Drive 2 have some positive feedback already. Good grip and handling with comfort. Wear don't know yet, because still new...... tongue.gif

With all the reviews I've read on the Advan DB, I dont think it will be ideal considering the regular wet road we have here at home. Likely candidate will probably be a set of F1 D5
*
Advan dB is still very new. but design should be close to former dB models, therefore is more for quiet, comfort ride.

well still wouldnt know how well the noise/comfort can go. as far as wear is concern, im aware that it is using soft compound and even eco orange oil, so im not putting too much hopes on its tread wear durability. one cant really have the best of everything right? wink.gif
*
Yes, you are right. That is why tyre manufacturers comes out with many models and ranges to suit the customer.
From entry, mid, comfort, performance to Ultra High performance tyres, customers will have to buy according to their priorities and use.
Example like fitting a UHP tyres for a old uncle, use to go to market and ferry kids to school.....overkill... biggrin.gif

hi, need some advise..

i need recommendation on tyres for 205/55/16, mostly for comfort and quite.. budget as low as possible..

You can get cheap Indon or Chinese Tyres but they do not perform well.
New Yokohama C-Drive 2 should be good for you. Price around RM330 per pc.

Slick means no pattern. The more rubber contact the better dry grip. For dry use only.....

Semi Slick is almost bald look, just a few pattern line. These are for dry to damp road
