I found a Michelin tyre shop at Penang offers RM405 for Primacy 3ST and RM430 for PS3, c/w balancing & alignment and metal valve cap, for 215/45/R17. Is it a good deal?
Anyone knows what the best price is for same size for Conti MC5? If I look for quietness, Primacy 3ST or Conti MC5 is better? This post has been edited by phil_: Mar 17 2014, 02:38 PM |

Guys, I've been using michelin ps3 for all my 4 tyres. 2 of it is in need of being changed. Due to budget restrain, been tempted to change to neuton nt5000/nt8000 after reading good review about it. Should i stick to ps3 or just change 2 tyres or all 4 of it? Anyone in the same situation as me before?

QUOTE(yice @ Jan 31 2014, 11:24 PM) currently using Silverstone V7, original...for Kia forte 1.6 sx...not even 2 yrs, and not even 40000, started to crack d....Now looking for new tyre, quiter...any recommendations? 215/45/R17...? THanks. Just stick to Michelin or equivalent. Spending a bit more on tyres is never a waste since its for safety. Remember that all the safety features in the world will not save you if your tyres fail. |

QUOTE(matthewctj @ Jul 5 2013, 04:10 PM) I'm looking to get PSS as well to replace my 225/40/18 .. where did you get yours from if you don't mind sharing. But kinda worried about their sizes. I prefer 40 series, but the width is too wide, I think starting from 245 .. most I would go is 235 without any fender roll. Did you finally change? After almost 9 months of using Michelin PSS, the performance is top rate. But maybe an overkill. On hindsight, i probably would not spend that kind of money on this ultra high performance tyre unless im driving a sports car. |

If u have budget constraint, look for good 2nd hand PS3 that can pair with ur current PS3. I get rm220/pc 2nd hand PS3. Although it is not adviseable to use 2nd hand tyres, there are really good used tyres in the market. Resulted from owner who wants to change to other brand/model of tyres. |

QUOTE(hafiez @ Mar 25 2014, 11:54 AM) Hmm... What size you're on bro? I'm on 195/55/15. Last time bought rm270/pc. 2 tyres would cost rm540 whereas 4 neuton tyres would cost rm680. Thats why i'm hesitated. Hehehe I mixed 2 brands of tyres last time, it did give me side effect such as fuel consumption and performance. I'd say, better stick with PS3. Hey guys and sifus, I'm currently driving a Nissan Latio 1.6 ST-L on 205/45/R17 and I will be changing for new sets of tires soon, hence I'm looking for new tires here.
I'm a long distance driver and hence quiet and comfort are my main priority, and also since we live in Malaysia, I'm looking for good grip during rain as well. My budget is RM360 per tire. So far, I had a few in mind, the Conti MC5 (RM360), Michelin XM2 and Michelin PS3. What are you throughts, which tire would you think be suited to my requirements? Any other suggestions beside Conti and Michelin? |

Dear all Sifu.. I'm driving a Civic FB 2.0 that come with Michelin PS3 215/45R17 rubber
Overall it's a good tyre except TOO NOISY. (Maybe Civic noise isolation not that good??) Not it's time to change new rubber, not gonna use PS3 anymore cos really can't accept the noise. I search some review say that Michelin Primecy 3ST is quite good with low noise. Any user of 3ST here? I'm about to change either 3ST or Pirelli Cinterato P7... Please advice, thanks |
