This is different. While teacher's are indeed technically employed by the civil service and hence the govt, EVERY taxpaying citizen of this country also happens to be an employer of ALL govt officials.
Which means we are technically also their bosses, and in the teacher's case the relationship is secular.
That means they have the right to criticize if they wanted.
What other democratic country bans their teachers from criticizing the govt? Those that do aren't truly democracies anymore.
