Ya correct that depends on the cable & DSLAM distance to ur house..
But the price sure expensive than fiber unifi.. sweat.gif

I notice my max rate increase recently from 12***kbps to 24***kbps.. brows.gif
But the upload speed is only 512kps.. dry.gif

Lel..why 10mb but get only 8mb. They indeed promise only 80%, but mostly 10mb if ur area is okay, user will get 9.99mb.

*
Copper is so sampah..lel. B4 this using unifi 10mb super stable. After coming back to my hometown I use 8mbps and youtube 1080p super unstable. Not slow, but unstable. Hard to explain about that, but changing from one video to another video, sometimes video slow buffer eventhough full speed testee on speedtest.net. So sakit hati vmad.gif vmad.gif if 50mbps also no use if copper.

Buto lah copper cable. Not stable at all. If normal web surfing not feel. But youtube surfing really topkek. I hate u tm. B4 this I use unifi 10mbps. Now use streamyx 8mbps because back to hometown.Difference like sky and land. Streamyx soo unstable. No point use 50mbps copper if line sometimes faster like fuck, sometimes slower like snail. I experience it now with 8mbps speed vmad.gif vmad.gif

adsl connection streamyx is fuken dead, madafaka tm up ur ass and upgrade so people can subscribe ur stupid expensive unifi.

streamyx is a scam. 1mbps untung coz it will be 1mbps. 4 and 8mbps pay higher but speed still 1mbps. when complain, same shit same procedure, bla3 reset router, after half and hour happen again.

VDSL can support up to 20mbps... It depends on copper cable thats why is TM staff will use the alat (lupa nama) for checking the SNR and LA... But the most important part is the cabinet wether it can support or not...

possible price range?

if below RM100 other isp can close shop d since most consumer now are forced to choose between excessively fast but expensive package, or cheap but slow one.

being the first to offer the middle ground between the 2 is good.

doh.gif doh.gif Price seems very heavy... RM149 for 10mb, and your friend pay RM179 for 30mb. 20mb difference with RM30. If RM99 still consider ok lah. can't expect much since TM no competition like our celulor telcos.

you made me check the page again. previously i was offered the webe plan (which i didn't take) but now "please come back again later". wishful thinking that they'll offer this unifi lite package instead.

Hmm? I thought VIP5 will be automatically upgraded to VIP10 or VIP20 according to TM roadmap?

EDIT: Without change in price, of course........

That drop down option is not for UniFi Lite.

It should be named something else. Not VIP anymore. Something like UniFi Lite Plan 10, 15 or 20.

If under RM120 and contract less than 1 year, I'll return to fixed line services again.

Unfortunately, it is for Unifi Lite. My friend at TM Point pretty much confirmed it. cry.gif

Only if your area is under TM fiber coverage or you live in a high rise building under TM fiber coverage where VDSL modulation (Fiber to the building) will be used to deliver the data.

Duh....TM wanna maintain average revenue per user.

It is impossible for TM to offer RM129 10Mbps to legacy RM149 VIP5 users.
At most, TM will upgrade legacy RM149 VIP5 to VIP10 without changing the price. (Which TM did for 'previous' VIP5 users)

High chance you will be offered UnifiLite.
Next condition, does your streamyx contract duration already over yet? innocent.gif Some users went and renew their 4mbps (RM140) to 8mbps at RM140 (the promo)..... whistling.gif

Pulling fibre to buildings is so outdated nowadays. Companies such as Webpass which Google acquired recently can already do point to point wireless backhaul with gigabit speeds to buildings. Then from there, pull ethernet Cat 6 cables to homes for cheap.

This.

VDSL2 speed are worst than 4G.Even worst you need to sign long contracts.

What is the purpose of providing fixed lines anymore today?

If we expect to change from cable unlimited package to unlimited wireless internet.
I would say in Malaysia(if possible) in 2030. laugh.gif

You heard the news Google Fiber in US already starting to abandon and cancelling most of their fibre fixed line rollouts?

Sacked more than 50% of their staffs?

They're going to implement 5G Gigabit wireless to landed homes in future and Webpass wireless backhaul to buildings.

You will see poles like these installled in the middle of housing tamans instead of roadside cabinets and no more complicated installations needed such as drilling wall holes and installing wall sockets.

Customers need to collect their startup packs, go back plug in their CPE/modems and immediately gain access to the internet.

So, telco company like DiGi, Maxis & Celcom can offer truly unlimited data & speed to their customer if this telco using that technology? hmm.gif

You can even implement unlicensed 5GHz bands such as those used by WiFi to provided internet. No need to buy spectrum from MCMC.

Contract must be lower than 1 year.
Pricing must be under RM100 monthly.

Will this service cover areas already served by TM Unifi FTTH?
Will it cover landed residential areas?

Since it's at least 3X slower than the lowest UniFi FTTH Advance 30 plan, will pricing match 3X lower than current UniFi packages?

Maxis don't use TM backbone entirely. They have their NGBB network focus in KV, Penang and JB which is separate from TM's HSBB.

Even if they rent TM's HSBB last mile infra, the only infra they share is until's TM core switches then it is own Maxis gateways and routing.

Response and customer handling is also more professional dealing with Maxis. Waiting times at Maxis outlet also no more than 10mins already call you.

but i heard more bad reviews on ppl using maxis fiber than ppl using unifi

For us who only able to get 1Mbps/2Mbps Max because of distance far from DSLAM...

Any Plan more than 4 mbps is always welcome.....because we dont have a choice...as we already paying RM110/RM130.....add another RM20 or less to get to 10Mbps? Thanks god TM finally found its conscience that Charging 1Mbps/2Mbps for more than RM1XX is butchering......

1Mbps/2Mbps user just so unfortunate to be least concern in TM's Priority......simply because we already subscribe to them, no way we found another competitor to subscribe, unless you want to back to Caveman Era by unsubscribe TM?

Using 3G/4G you say? Hahaha, did you want to keep looking at your quota and worry about it 24/7? and its not that stable, cause its really depend of how congested the of the tower......

Waiting TM to upgrade Infra? LOL, laying Fiber already cost them moneh......Since you already subscribe TM, why TM want to spent moneh just for RM40+ increase in subscription plan (If you getting unifi 30Mbps) , while laying Fiber in new area will get new whopping rm199 subscription!

Sorry for the out of topic rant lol......

Hope any user previously stuck at 1/2Mbps can report successfully getting Unifi Lite at least......

Lel..why 10mb but get only 8mb. They indeed promise only 80%, but mostly 10mb if ur area is okay, user will get 9.99mb.
If 1mb can already report. Tm promise at least 80% for streamyx/unifi

Don't hate them.
How will you feel if some new house/shop 30,50 meters away from your place got unifi? The Unifi hub place in the old area, besides the streamyx hub.

Even the shop/house beside the main road that unifi cable pass by din't get it.
Upon request, they said will check.Later come back to you and said won't get. rclxms.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Nowadays, most news/discussion just keep mentioning unifi. But i think streamyx user still are the majority?

I don't know.No point you check now, later they told you no port, cable not supported...
Better go apply and see what you get.
Even house/shop that sit besides the hub and cable wouldn't get coverage. What can we expect anything from them? biggrin.gif

I don't know.If you want to know something about their upgrade strategy...you can refer some old news from last year budget 2017 news.
Sad with them. They mentioned will gave upgrade to 10% of 1 million streamyx users if not mistaken.
All sorts of...,and in those news, nobody care about streamyx.Just unifi unifi unifi.
They should charge RM50 max for unifi 4mbps pre gst.

Why RM179 unifi 30mbps pre gst?

I really want the ping stability for gaming experience, especially for packet lost issue...
And Webe is just rebranding of P1Max......and you know, P1Max don't really have good reputation in term of stability in the pass...

But if Webe or New Digi 150 have less packet loss issue, then i might consider dumping Shitmyx......

Yup...in company sense, Webe is rebranding P1

but Webe ditched Wimax already..they use 850Mhz LTE for their webe plan

well, if online gaming is ur concern, then like it or not u still need wired internet over wireless

regardless any wireless internet from any telco, it wont give much performance in ping & packet lose when it comes to online gaming

Berbaloi ke unifi lite rm129 and then lepas tu guna android box?
Atau lebih baik maxis fibre 10mbps lepas tu pasang android box?
