That drop down option is not for UniFi Lite.

It should be named something else. Not VIP anymore. Something like UniFi Lite Plan 10, 15 or 20.

If under RM120 and contract less than 1 year, I'll return to fixed line services again.

Unfortunately, it is for Unifi Lite. My friend at TM Point pretty much confirmed it.

Only if your area is under TM fiber coverage or you live in a high rise building under TM fiber coverage where VDSL modulation (Fiber to the building) will be used to deliver the data.

High chance you will be offered UnifiLite.
Next condition, does your streamyx contract duration already over yet?  Some users went and renew their 4mbps (RM140) to 8mbps at RM140 (the promo).....

Better hope your current package is cheaper than RM129, otherwise......tahu-tahu je lah  .........

Pulling fibre to buildings is so outdated nowadays. Companies such as Webpass which Google acquired recently can already do point to point wireless backhaul with gigabit speeds to buildings. Then from there, pull ethernet Cat 6 cables to homes for cheap.

VDSL2 speed are worst than 4G.Even worst you need to sign long contracts.

They're going to implement 5G Gigabit wireless to landed homes in future and Webpass wireless backhaul to buildings.

You will see poles like these installled in the middle of housing tamans instead of roadside cabinets and no more complicated installations needed such as drilling wall holes and installing wall sockets.

Will this service cover areas already served by TM Unifi FTTH?

I have seen the Unifi Lite Plan poster... it's RM149/mth... definitely not attractive for me...

if your area supports unifi, definitely no attractive
but if your area won't have fiber anytime soon, its a good deal

if under UNIFI coverage. maxis RM139 10Mbps still cheaper, still cannot think of the TM logic

Maxis don't use TM backbone entirely. They have their NGBB network focus in KV, Penang and JB which is separate from TM's HSBB.

Even if they rent TM's HSBB last mile infra, the only infra they share is until's TM core switches then it is own Maxis gateways and routing.

Response and customer handling is also more professional dealing with Maxis. Waiting times at Maxis outlet also no more than 10mins already call you.
