That drop down option is not for UniFi Lite.

It should be named something else. Not VIP anymore. Something like UniFi Lite Plan 10, 15 or 20.

If under RM120 and contract less than 1 year, I'll return to fixed line services again.

Unfortunately, it is for Unifi Lite. My friend at TM Point pretty much confirmed it. cry.gif

Only if your area is under TM fiber coverage or you live in a high rise building under TM fiber coverage where VDSL modulation (Fiber to the building) will be used to deliver the data.

Duh....TM wanna maintain average revenue per user.

It is impossible for TM to offer RM129 10Mbps to legacy RM149 VIP5 users.
At most, TM will upgrade legacy RM149 VIP5 to VIP10 without changing the price. (Which TM did for 'previous' VIP5 users)

High chance you will be offered UnifiLite.
Next condition, does your streamyx contract duration already over yet? innocent.gif Some users went and renew their 4mbps (RM140) to 8mbps at RM140 (the promo)..... whistling.gif

Better hope your current package is cheaper than RM129, otherwise......tahu-tahu je lah console.gif .........

Pulling fibre to buildings is so outdated nowadays. Companies such as Webpass which Google acquired recently can already do point to point wireless backhaul with gigabit speeds to buildings. Then from there, pull ethernet Cat 6 cables to homes for cheap.

This.

VDSL2 speed are worst than 4G.Even worst you need to sign long contracts.

What is the purpose of providing fixed lines anymore today?
*
If we expect to change from cable unlimited package to unlimited wireless internet.
I would say in Malaysia(if possible) in 2030. laugh.gif

You heard the news Google Fiber in US already starting to abandon and cancelling most of their fibre fixed line rollouts?

Sacked more than 50% of their staffs?

They're going to implement 5G Gigabit wireless to landed homes in future and Webpass wireless backhaul to buildings.

You will see poles like these installled in the middle of housing tamans instead of roadside cabinets and no more complicated installations needed such as drilling wall holes and installing wall sockets.

Customers need to collect their startup packs, go back plug in their CPE/modems and immediately gain access to the internet.

So, telco company like DiGi, Maxis & Celcom can offer truly unlimited data & speed to their customer if this telco using that technology? hmm.gif

Yes even Time, Symphonet and all major isps.

You can even implement unlicensed 5GHz bands such as those used by WiFi to provided internet. No need to buy spectrum from MCMC.

Wow. So good. rclxms.gif
Sadly our Malaysian government not interest to implement this for now. doh.gif cry.gif

We are just focus to expand Unifi coverage only. sad.gif

Contract must be lower than 1 year.
Pricing must be under RM100 monthly.

Will this service cover areas already served by TM Unifi FTTH?
Will it cover landed residential areas?

Since it's at least 3X slower than the lowest UniFi FTTH Advance 30 plan, will pricing match 3X lower than current UniFi packages?

dn expect much from tm... expect more dissapoint more

Maxis don't use TM backbone entirely. They have their NGBB network focus in KV, Penang and JB which is separate from TM's HSBB.

Even if they rent TM's HSBB last mile infra, the only infra they share is until's TM core switches then it is own Maxis gateways and routing.

Response and customer handling is also more professional dealing with Maxis. Waiting times at Maxis outlet also no more than 10mins already call you.

but i heard more bad reviews on ppl using maxis fiber than ppl using unifi
