Thanks to its new look, the G30 5-series is something very desirable!

Was there earlier today up close and personal and I can't help but fall in love with the car.

Yeah interior wise it is definitely lacking and nothing really revolutionary

I think is ugly, just my preference. In the end I changed my BMW and bought the new E class and it's C350e. Yeap, 2 units. I was suppose to buy the new 5 series and it's 330e, I was very let down especially by the 330e, the interior feels so cheap compared to C350e. I haven't seen the real 5 series yet, just video and pictures, same, the interior turned me off. They should opt for new design. Anyway I am taking a break from BMW and go into Benz for now, let's see in future they can make something more beautiful to win me back or not.

Yes, if one looks at just the interior, the Mercedes offers a nicer and classier interior. The new five series interior is very familiar especially if you have been inside the F10 and the newer F30 cars. So nothing really revolutionary.

To me, the exterior looks dated too, sure has something to do with 3 series that has already been in the market for almost 5 years now? They've united the design too little too late. Something I really need to stress on, quality of the finishing doesn't match the standard of a BMW. By just comparing 330e & 350e which I tested on literally, the material in 330e really feels too low, in fact, I felt like in a toyota or something. I feel so let down by the new gen. I was a proud owner of BMW but this time I think BMW has given chance for its rival to over take them easily. The sales man would emphasis on the quality of the BMW performance, but in real, it just won't make too much difference really. But, the quality of the cabin that you are sitting in, that really makes significant difference coz you are feeling it every second. Anyway, that's just how I felt.

I think you are absolutely right, BMW made numerous mistakes especially with the 3-series F30 model where initial models had a lot of customer complaints about it being very "hollow" and had a lot of sound proofing issues. In fact, most people won't be able to tell the difference when it comes to performance as most people would normally just drive their cars from A to B in the city or even on the highways. A lot will never use the true potential it can have which is what BMW is currently struggling now to identify themselves as.

Haven't seen the car in flesh but the DRL looks after market ! Opinion that it looks better without it! If not for its interior, I would seriously consider the BMW ! Compared this to the E klass w213, it looks really dated!

The DRL is the same design as you would see in the facelifted F30, the only difference is they added one more line that connects to the kidney grill. It looks like a larger F30

personally put few options for my new car selection. All tested drive and comparing done between Macan 2.0, BMW X4 CKD, X5 CKD, X6 CBU, G30 CBU, MB New E-class and GLC 250 & Coupe. Finally made the G30 as my final preference. Powerful, light body, brand new model, nice fitting seat, highspeed smooth handling and better driving enjoyment. Adding RM30k+ for fully M performance kit for outstanding look.

So, anyone here has any bad experience with their BMW G30 530i? If yes, please share your experience. I'm planning to buy a used G30 530i M-Sport (CKD or CBU).
