Potraiture is different, you need a good subject to create impact, hence the poses, the eye contact and body placing. Lighting and angle plays a big part as well ... everything combines to make a good image. Of course, if you have the skill, whatever I mention above is a walk in the park. If the model can't pose, teach! She will be glad you did

You can never attract girls with your skill, coz it's all in the head. You need lotsa PR work and communication before a stranger is comfortable with you, size of camera and whether you're lengchai or not also does not matter.

i totally agree, i've seen some ordinary looking girls looks magnificent in pictures, it's very important to direct them how to pose, if certain angle don't work with their face/body structure have to pose differently lor

every people can be a model, but depends on circumstances. for me, the subject does not need to be photogenic or good-looking to be a model, because some photographer wants to tell a story in their pictures. as long as he finds a model that suited his objective, than that fine..

i have to say that i agree the most with your statement this round.....

i second that...the objective of the shootout..

here is the problem. everyone came in here just to look at pretty gals. what i see they only know how to differentiate which gal are pretty and which is not. correct? correct me if wrong. yes pretty gals give u extra credits, but can someone really tell which picture taken by a PnS and Which by DSLR. thats where the skill kicks in right?
