From the sources and materials that I'd read, I found out that there is a war going on behind the scene... classic corporate espionage, crushing your opponents and stuff.
That reminds me of Rose Online last time.

An ex-mod from RealmPT, backstabbed RealmPT and created FortressPT (FPT). He was the one who did the hacking on RealmPT... a thief in the house lol.

UniquePT or http://www.pristontale.net/ (same server) is run by Brazilian(s). They or some other Brazilian servers ganged up with the official server, KPT, to bring down RealmPT, because RealmPT is doing a great job with the game, with more updates, far ahead than other servers. You see, RealmPT has all the tools to make it a better game than all others... deemed as a 'threat'.

RealmPT will be back soon. RealmPT is run by a European dude, if I recall.
