Is it alright to leave the game disc inside the system?

So far no problem for 4 mth +

so far no problem for 3 years lol. really depend on luck to be honest.

No issues since 2015.

No issue since ps1.

All the disc does is spin for 2 seconds upon start up to authenticate the game on the system. Beyond that, it does nothing. So yes, you can keep the disc in the system for years.

I thought it will scratch the lens?

Or is it just a myth?

been told if u change too much will dmg the lens slowly...so i stick the most play disc in my ps4

been doing that for more than 2 years. no, nothing will happen.

My last physical game in PS4 is FFXV and until today , they game disc still inside the console ...

3 yrs and no problem at all. So yes.

The disk isn't even touching the lens. So I dont see how it can damage it by doing what it's supposed to do in the first place.

my little niece pernah sumbat 3 disc inside my ps3

had to manually take out one by one, lucky it can still read

My habit is I will not change to any other game unless I finish the game

And I will leave the same disc inside console forever only after I finish playing it

So far so good, same habit since PS3

i left the same disc in my PS4 for more than a year already. Still ok

destiny disc right?
