since the release of vulkan api into gaming industry, the issues became debatable as there's various opinion on the pros and cons of each graphic api.

so guys, what u guys thought on this and what API u guys using? state your graphic card model too.

currently using opengl, 940mx (laptop) .

unable to use vulkan though because of an unknown problem. already check the nvidia website that this model support vulkan.

btw, I have run a test for the best api use between low gpu and high gpu.
feel free to ask me regarding setting and suitable api use.

I revert back to dx. feel smoother than gl at full setting. vulkan sucks with nvidia tho.

Direct X 9 for performance. (Increase FPS)
Direct X 11 for nice visual.
Direct X 12 for windows 10.

Vulkan for amd/ati graphic.

Open GL same as Direct X 9 performance, but little bit low.

I use dx11 in console command, dx12 still not available for dota 2 client tho.
never try dx9, even default use dx 10 or 10.5 something if not mistaken. checked it up with vconsole.
and for open gl, its not dx 9 performance, its 10.5 for dota2. and yeah, lower fps but better visual.

i'm using vulkan on my r9 390 ..
without vulkan already smooth but i choose vulkan to reduce drawing so much power from gpu..

on my laptop i'm using radeon card also, forgot which model, it only can run dota 2 on low setting, but with vulkan, it can run on mid-high setting.. (to run on high setting i must always keep my laptop very clean, and disk defrag must be always performed to keep the performance)

change it to ssd then.

no money .. hehhe..

but vulkan on gtx 1070 abit bad
so i just leave it on default

yeah, vulkan so bad tho with nvidia graphic. because vulkan was a successor from mantle api which is made for ati card.
have u try gl? do triple buffering + smooth v sync on full setting. shuld not be a problem . unless u using higher hz monitor.
