I hope this place stay a dead town. I really like the quiet ambiance.

Let the dislike continue to criticise, so long we enjoy living in Cyber and happily enjoy the peaceful surrounding.
Regardless how bad it is, ive been living in Cyberjaya since 2007 til 2012, then moved to stay in Cheras & PJ for close to 6 years, I'm still in love with Cyberjaya eventually & moved back to Cyberjaya.
I don't deny it is a bit far from places like 1u & Kepong, but I'm working at Bangsar south currently(close to 4 years), I'm very happy with the travel time + distance. Just that you'll need to spare a little bit more for the MEX & LDP toll fares.
Not to mention, travelling to Puchong, Sunway & KL isn't far if you compare to the time spent travelling to the same destination from many other places. You might spent double the time if you travelling from some other places within klang valley.

In return you get to enjoy greener surrounding, peaceful and quiet ambience. But everything you need is basically so accessible, by average within 3km radius. No need to worry about traffic, parking , etc.
Imagine you stay in Sri Petaling or SS2, even though the shop is nearby, how long do you need to spend to look for a parking lot so that you can park your car? In Cyberjaya, you just park, pick up and go. Even if you want to go grocery to just buy a bottle of milk, you don't need to headache about looking for parking.

Yes, if looking from investment & food options perspective, I don't deny Cyberjaya is not the place you should look for. The non-halal options is still kinda limited, but those that sustained their business in Cyberjaya in general selling decent dishes. Cause the lousy one all closed shop ady due to no demand.

It is really depending on what you really want.

To me, Cyerjaya is still the township which suits me best for living.
Up to the rest who keep criticising Cyberjaya. No matter what we still have our own community with a group of people who are in love and enjoy living in Cyberjaya.

ouh, it was 3 years ago. thought it happened only recently.

as far as the ghost stories goes, tried to google search to see if there's any trace cause it intrigued me but no results came up  sweat.gif so for now, i'd take it as hearsay but true though, Skypark is one weird development with the commercial units located underneath being vacant for so long, bound to have something "occupying" it sooner or later.

i also noticed at the top most floor, there's a space (sort of like a hall) with phasing LED lights. now, what's that all about?

The developer -> MCT is the problem. Look at The Place @ Cyberjaya.
But you can see Kanvas, Cybersquare & some others are doing good.

Kesian cyberjaya

Now Bangsar south dah take over  as malaysia Silicon Valley
*
Well, I'm working in Bangsar South too. For close to 7 years now.
But never hesitate to move out from Cyberjaya. (Since 2008)
Cyberjaya is really Kesian if you judge from the master plan. But judging from the perspective of a livable township, Cyberjaya is one of the top in my list. rclxms.gif

Anybody daily commute to klcc area? What is your mode of transportation and how long does it take door-to-door?
*
It really depends, but sometime I'll send my gf to work at ampang park, took 45 - 1 hour (Depart after 9am) if smooth. Otherwise, 1hr+ if traffic is bad.

If KLCC, I'll suggest you to take ERL + LRT. (But not going to be cheap either, good thing is you can do your own thing while commuting & ERL is kind of punctual for you to plan your time)
But I believe it will take 1hr plus per trip.

Just say he's right. Anything less he will keep trying to get the last say. 🫣

Hahaha, nice one. You know him too well.
Regardless what also he got something to fight back. Overpopulation.....under population.... traffic.....no demand......infrastructure......ghost town.......bla bla bla......

I love Cyberjaya like how it is, but this guy talk like as if i have a shitty taste choose to live in Cyberjaya, or like an idiot getting a property in Cyberjaya. drool.gif

You have your right to dislike Cyberjaya, i won't stop anyone from criticising Cyberjaya too. But putting so much efforts in criticising Cyberjaya isn't a neutral judgement anymore, more like an emotional one.

Cyberjaya for life! rclxms.gif
I've been living here for 15 years now, to me it is a very livable city if you appreciate a more peaceful township. And it is getting better over the past 15 years.
Food options is not as much compared to other township but it is definitely not a 'ghost' town. We still have a decent amount of food options + decent amount of Groceries store. (Including both Jaya Grocer and Village grocer). You can basically get all you need within 10KM perimeters.
What more? The biggest mall (IOI city mall) is not far away and you can basically get all you need inside the mall.

Aside from that, You have plenty of nice park surrounding you (Cyberjaya & Putrajaya parks).

I'm sharing my 15 years living experience as compared to those criticizers above who based on their merely few visits impression (Or maybe investment perspective).

Cyberjaya 'So' far? there are many areas which is way further from KL than Cyberjaya.
I'm working at Bangsar South and i'm totally fine with the traveling time. Despite the longer distance, most of the time it takes longer to travel to KL from places like PJ / Damansara compare to Cyberjaya.
To me the distance is reasonable and at least i'm living in a more peaceful & well-planned township as compared to those nearer KL.

Those that criticize with facts, it is your personal preference. Those that saying Cyberjaya is a 'Ghost' town, pay some respect to us la. Judge as if we are the 'ghosts' living in Cyberjaya.

Conclusion: If you're talking about investment, stay away from Cyberjaya. But if you're talking about living in Cyberjaya, welcome guys. It is really a nice place to live if you appreciate a slightly more peaceful environment without sacrificing any of the basic necessities. In fact, certain part of the living experience you get to enjoy better quality compared to other townships.

If they are B40, how can they afford commuting daily to KL PJ via MEX? The toll cost is so high. I think it’s more middle class than B40s
*
In fact, cheaper rental but High travel cost + Vehicles + High food & grocery expenses. Can't really justify the 'low living cost' in Cyberjaya. More like using the cheaper rental to average the overall expenses.
