QUOTE(soonvee @ Oct 21 2024, 01:23 PM) I think another reason why parkcity choose cbj because this is most expat community livable cities at Selangor region beside KL. And definitely you need some expat community here to make the area look more atas 😁 I think CBJ Park City could be a combination of US plus 1 and China plus 1 .But let Park City does what is best for CBJ. KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 21): The federal government is working on restructuring its incentive packages for data centre investments in the country to ensure they bring broader economic benefits to the people, said Treasury secretary general Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican.
Johan said that the government is cognisant that while data centre investments bring in large capital expenditures (capex), they may not bring tangible added value to the rakyat, such as high-paying job opportunities and knowledge transfer. |

Jobs Creation through NETR
Key beneficiary of NETR BM Greentech (BMG) is a prominent renewable energy (RE) player, offering sustainable energy solutions through its bio-energy, solar, and water treatment expertise. Aligned with global environmental sustainability objectives and Malaysia’s RE goals, BMG is strategically positioned to capitalise on the country’s target of achieving 70% RE capacity by 2050. This is supported by government initiatives such as the National Energy Transition Roadmap (NETR) and programs like Net Energy Metering (NEM), as well as utility-scale RE projects, including Corporate Green Power Programme (CGPP) and Large-Scale Solar (LSS). With BMG making strides in green energy solutions, the company is poised to attract increasing investor interest and establish itself as a leading ESG investment with solid growth prospects This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Oct 22 2024, 10:45 AM |

Malaysians do not like DC ...but Thais do
NVIDIA Corp. is set to unveil investment plans for Thailand, joining Alphabet Inc. and Microsoft Corp., as Southeast Asia becomes a hot spot for building AI data centers and manufacturing the components that power them. The US chip designing firm will announce investments during Chief Executive Officer Jensen Huang’s trip to Bangkok in December, Thailand’s Commerce Minister Pichai Naripthaphan said on Monday. He declined to give details on the investment or how much the the company will bring into Thailand. This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Oct 22 2024, 05:19 PM |

I am wondering why Thailand which has bad umemployment at current moment , still trying very hard to attract Nvadia , Google and Microsoft to invest in DC in Thailand ?
From the facts provided by our Malaysia experts here , less than 100 jobs would be created by Nvadia n others combined ....No way u can solve Thailand massive umemployments , right ? Do they really have more cheap power supply than Malaysia ? This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Oct 23 2024, 09:00 AM |

This is THE quality of our experts today , do not even answer our Q directly
My basic Q are :- "I am wondering why Thailand which has bad umemployment at current moment , still trying very hard to attract Nvadia , Google and Microsoft to invest in DC in Thailand ? From the facts provided by our Malaysia experts here , less than 100 jobs would be created by Nvadia n others combined ....No way u can solve Thailand massive umemployments , right ? Do they really have more cheap power supply than Malaysia ?" And According to current Nobel Prize Winners , govt leaders ( good ones like Singapore ) play an imp role to shape a country economy , but many others worldwide ended up by taking care of their own pockets . Cases like 1mdb etc ..are many worldwide ..Sri Lanka etc It is not DC bad in itself ...but bad leadership and bad expert advices ..maybe Do u think it it the SOLE duty of CBJ residents to ensure DC to have high-paying job opportunities and knowledge transfer ? Guan Eng: Is it fair foreign investors don’t have to buy a single screw from local SMEs?
https://malaysia.news.yahoo.com/guan-eng-fa...Z3NT5XItoHV1PEP " The government has been urged to require foreign investors and external parties winning government or private tenders to source 50 per cent of their supplies from local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)." Again, policies are not set by CBJ people This post has been edited by SKY 1809: Oct 23 2024, 11:28 AM |
