I have PKNS will build a golf course in Cyberjaya, is that true?
*
Not much land left for DC.

I hope they do not use our Green Zones/lands for a Golf Course.

Politicians like to do things for their own benefits ........

PM says to build more affordable housings ..surely these do not cover a Golf Course in Cyberjaya ..

What benefits the M n B people ?

The incoming DC in Johor actually bailed out quite nos of property co , some stuck with high debts . Even SP Setia could suffer huge loss in UK . sold land for DC in Johor. Few thousands of over hanged properties sold.. due to future team up with Singapore .

DC employees ( non managerial level ) in US , after working for a few years could get pay around rm 25, 000 to rm 30,000 a month.

Hope our fellow Malaysians could get a fair pay package in CBJ..

Then no point for them to open DC here.

They're here for cheaper labor
*
Well noted .

I say , expect a fair pay, but not neccessary be exactly the same pays as those earned in US, cos our cost of living is much lower.

U need to consider the Power of US N Sin $

By paying the local staff with 5 years working ex , let say at US $ 3,000, could be like just paying a new n fresh employee in US . But is good enough for a local staff working in CBJ , due to the lower costs of Living.

That is why some Malaysians do not mind to work in Sin as labourers by getting RM 10,000 plus a month.

DC are big eaters of power ? U think the power rates in US are cheaper than Malaysia ? plus many other benefits like tax benefits ?

Ya , jams are everywhere , except maybe much less in CBJ...

It is possible to live in a jam free Kampung like CBJ..

Well , other properties may appreciate ( not much lah ) , living in a jam free lifestyle is what we look for ..

Nevermind what others say about CBJ..

It's a long term strategy. Look at PKNS Seri Selangor golf course in Kota Damansara,  built in 1998, land price has increased 100 times, and now PKNS cash out to build more affordable home.

Thank you for yr sharings.

Yes I agree , it is perfectly good from an investment/business point of view. No doubt about it .

But Govt plans ( or propose ) to forfeit 20% of leasehold lands from property developers once their land leases expire and re allocate the lands for low cost houses . Is it fair ? and also , Govt intends to impose on the developers to build 1 block of low cost housing when let say they plan to build 2 blocks of highrise.

PKNS is State owned entity and is under MB ( in charge ) . How come , they go the other way , by building a golf club ? whereas other developers are told to build more low cost housing ?

Mind u , foreign funds come in Malaysia with extreme large amount of $ this year , and politicians just say and act what they want ( so called controversy..) What is their long term Plan for Malaysia ? Not easy to attract foreign money to Malaysia ..so to speak

They think the Foreigners are somehow blinded ...

From a personal prospective , I view the proposed Golf Cub as good for the residents , no doubt about it.

Just urge the Govt to be fair to all concerned investors .

Politicians need to stick to PPP ( PIKAS 2030 ) .

Data centre boom is a vote of confidence in Malaysia’s digital future.

https://www.klsescreener.com/v2/news/view/1...-digital-future

The benefits to Malaysia go beyond the direct investment windfall. Specialised digital infrastructure has a powerful multiplier effect on the economy, creating quality jobs and creating opportunities for other businesses in the digital ecosystem.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia is rapidly building a supportive ecosystem for the development and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), according to Datuk Seri Yeoh Seok Hong, Managing Director of YTL Power International.

"Our first AI data centres are being built, and our universities are focusing on building AI talent," he said.

Yeoh highlighted the collaboration between YTL AI Labs and Universiti Malaya (UM) in creating the Massive Multi-task Language Understanding (MalayMMLU) as a key milestone.

This development is expected to accelerate Malaysia's progress toward becoming an AI-driven nation, he said.

No Jobs created by DC ?

KUALA LUMPUR: Google said on Tuesday its investments in Malaysia would create 26,500 jobs and contribute more than $3 billion to its economy by 2030, as it announced its new data centre and Cloud region there had broken ground.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia will adopt a National Cloud Policy to modernise public services and boost innovation and efficiency in the sector, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

“By leveraging cloud technology, we aim to modernise government operations, foster citizen engagement, and streamline the delivery of public services.

KUALA LUMPUR: Oracle plans to invest more than US$6.5 billion to set up its first public cloud region in Malaysia, the company said on Wednesday, the latest major investment by a global tech firm into the Southeast Asian country.

Technology giants including Microsoft, Nvidia , Alphabet unit Google and China's ByteDance have announced billions of dollars worth of digital investments into Malaysia since last year, mostly in cloud services and data centres, powering an infrastructure boom driven by growing demand for artificial intelligence (AI).
