As far as I know the unemployment rate for 16 to 24 excluding students is around 18% as of September 2024. The overall unemployment rate is around 5.3%.

Western experts will definitely say anything about China has filtered.

Like how they keep harping on the high rate for 16 to 24 where most are still studying and it’s actually not a bad thing if the rate is high. It could just mean that having educated is more important there and those who are not educated will not get jobs.

The official rate of 5.3% is worrying and should be the priority for the government but its has not reached doomsday level yet. The economy worldwide aren’t good and it’s not just China facing economic problems.
