QUOTE(cannyeo @ Jul 27 2017, 04:18 PM) How much are they offering you anyway? Salary tax in the Philippines si really high.. highest in Southeast Asia at 30%.. Depends on what you and where you eat you can save money also. If you live near the workplace walking will help you save money as the rate for taxi is quite high as well. Don't know about uber or grab + you have to consider traffic. If you can live using a bicycle the better. You can have your license (if you have a malaysian drivers license) converted if you can drive left hand drive that is since there is a an agreement between Malaysia and Philippine goverment about this. I know some Filipinos working in Malaysia who have Malaysian Driving License. If you are muslim it will be very hard for you to find halal restaurants or even supermarket. If you are chinese then good for you since there are a lot of chinese resto's anywhere specially if you go to Chinatown in Manila Environment and weather should be the same as Malaysia except for typhoon season since the Philippines the the gatekeeper for typhoons coming from the pacific ocean there is a minimum of 10-15 tyhpoons passing the country every year between months of June to December sometimes up to January. If I say typhoons and rains it's not your Malaysian rain that goes on for hours only we are talking about days of rain. food there if converted to ringgit no most standard resto/fast food should be the same as Malaysia but don't expect that the food serving will be the same. Malaysian food serving is quite generous compared to the Philippines Malls are abundant not sure if you still want that since the KL has a lot of malls already. If you really want to enjoy your weekends get out of the city just like in Malaysia to really experience the Philippines you have to get out of Manila |

QUOTE(cannyeo @ Jul 27 2017, 04:18 PM) Salary if you can get 60k-70k Pesos and the company will provide housing allowance for you then that is more than enough. In the Philippines earning that kind of money you can have 2 children being sent to school already. If you are single that kind of salary is more than enough you can buy car and pay monthly installment or buy a house and pay monthly mortgage |
