I'm having problem with my Kingston DT101 G2 usb thumbdrive. There's no partition in it. I can't format it. Tried cmd diskpart but list disk doesn't detect it. But when I wanna eject my thumbdrive, clicking the lower right corner at the systray shows that windows can detect that its a kingston data traveller drive. Any fix?

I think it's pretty safe to say your drive is KO already.

I had this problem once and the way I fixed it is by clicking something along the lines of "create media" or "create new memory" something like that. I know it sounds ridiculous but i forgotten the real term they used. Try searching around that disk management windows and right click on your Thumb drive. They should have an option for you to somehow "load" back the capacity
Hope I helped

Use this 2 apps. Download Win32DiskImage and then an img or ISO file. e.g. this. Install win32diskimage and then write the iso or img file to your flash drive. if cannot write and recognized, I assume it has reach it life.

I don't think the drive is dead could be corrupted firmware. You could try flash boot using Manufacture Tool to recover the drive. Below is the guide that i found with same model with your thumb drive http://www.flashdrive-repair.com/2013/04/R...lash-drive.htmlPlease ensure your chip number is correct before proceed and follow the guide. This will void the warranty, data loss or may probably brick it. I have tried this method flashing the Kingston 16gb DataTraveler seem working fine after flash.
