Need some advice from /k bakers

The backstory is I bought a Suzuki Shogun RR (now passed to my in-law) back in 2010 and it is still alive now (over 200k km and running) with just normal oil change. 3 yrs ago I bought an FZ150i and so far I've been throught the following issues:
- 1st overhaul at 20k km (engine oil low, piston scratched block), costed me RM800, done at an outside workshop
- 2nd overhaul including transmission (transmission bearing broke), costed me RM1450 and almost a month without transport, done at Yamaha Sg Buloh
I've had a very bad experience with Yamaha and decided to not support them anymore and go back to Suzuki. I'm planning to get a workhorse bike that I can use everyday, and after some reading on the net, (somehow) decided to get the SFV650. I found one being sold at a shop in Kuantan and they're asking for RM36k OTR (finance) for a bike that was manufactured in 2014. It's a brand new unit with warranty from Suzuki MY.
I'd like to get some opinion for my sanity check from abam abam sekalian. Sekian, terima kasih.
FZ 2014 & 2015 famous for makan minyak hitam. all because of substandard piston ring. change it out to an aftermarket one, problem solved.
when i bought a used 2014 unit in 2016, for 1 year i keep topping up oil for a year. luckily HDEO is cheap. in 2017 i decided to f*ck it and changed a whole new block piston set, only to discover that still same shit. then i found out that the culprit is just the piston ring. changed that to RIK brand and i have been full trottling everyday without any loss of oil until today.
by sfv650 do you mean Gladius?

to me my first impression of gladius is a girl's bike, one thing because of the pink/blue pastel colours, and the first time i see it with my own eyes it was ridden by a lady rider lol.
but put that aside, just looking at the engine itself, well Suzuki SV650 engine is known to be a fuss-free good-going engine. not many problem, easy to maintain. famous in USA as the perfect beginner-friendly engine. not the fastest but definitely least issues too.
at the same time why not consider the SV650 itself? it looks better than gladius, imho. apart from looks, the rest are the same.
