I think CS won't waive it even CS say will do it for you.

My recent experience : i holding UOB One Card Platinum since 2008. Last time each year just call CS will do.
Last year call CS , at the end get sms say waiver request fail, call CS again , again fail, after tries 3 times i fed up , cut the card straight ahead...
wait for 5 days, Retention customer call straight ahead offer 3 years waiver without any request from me.

Mana tau, now One Card's benefit been revised.... =_=
BHP no longer earn Smart$ , week day petrol became 1%.... =_=...
the other Cash Rebate offer i din use much (even worst then previous ...)

looks like i gonna cut again =_=.

and go for other card which suits my spending patterns.

UOB One Card Platinum User : Any of you facing problem when trying to redeem smart$ at merchant ?

My case : After put my card into the machine , key in pin and press Green button, the device looks like auto reboot then print a receipt shows "Power Failure".

Tried 3 times also same. Call UOB CS on the spot, CS say already redeemed, merchant check redeem history, no record in their machine.

at the end CS told me to pay using the card normally, they will check the system, will deduct the payment using Smart$ by manually.... =_=

I was panic that time, merchant realize got problem immediately grab the purchase item back ... hahaha

Lucky still can pay with the card normally.

** This thing also happens when i redeem Smart$ on June at BHPetrol station. (I was thinking got problem on their machine, now looks like i am wrong)

Tried on BHPetrol (May) Taman Sri Gombak , tried 3 time ,all failed with error message "Power Failure", terminal auto reboot
Bee Chiang Hiang (Early June) - Metro Prima also same tried 3 time, all failed with error message "Power Failure", terminal auto reboot

I gonna tried redeem one more time soon on coming month.

Wednesday is 3% But is LIMITED TIME OFFER ONLY....

Err... not sure is it ok to mention different brand card here as this threat is for UOB CC....

But what i can say is depend on your spending pattern.....

myself is spend on Utilities (Unifi / TNB / Syabas) , makan makan , online shopping (lazada / 11 street / lelong) , Grocery and Petrol

I use Tiger brand with Trojan at weekend for all (as long as they accept trojan) all 5% CB

Week day i use C*** cash rebate platinum for petrol as got 2% (Since now UOB OP is just 1%)

Online purchase weekday will be C*** cash rebate platinum as got 5% (my purchase normally is less then RM50, sometimes will below RM500 , depends on item)
Got think of UOB Yolo , but that one only get CB when spend RM50 above.... which i normally spend below RM50.

Grocery i use C*** cash rebate platinum coz it was base on merchant register MCC and not just selected shopping mall or store - 2% CB , UOB OP only 1%

Utilities only paid on weekend via trojan


now pening is makan makan .... coz weekday or weekend (many restaurant tak mau trojan) ... so use any card will just 0.2%...

Planning to apply P* Quantu* for makan makan and as 2nd option for online purchase.

while UOB One Platinum will keep for certain period see they will revise the benefit or not...if no..then gonna say bye bye....


While other card stay in my drawer which i never touch at all is
Tiger Brand Visa ( I cannot potong this card else Trojan will die as well)
C*** Preferred Visa Infinite ( Plan to potong once i receive post mail warning that my account not meet their requirement)

Oooo the P* Quantu* need to take 2 card rite ? macam the tiger trojan ?

Yup , tiger brand trojan need to take 2 card at the same time (coz they know many shop not accept trojan , at least the mastercard or visa can use if trojan been reject)

Ya, look at the Ads Quantu* looks not bad... but funny thing is their official site T&C Page looks like hilang when i click . It kick me back to mainpage.

Yes for food , online, disco shake shake entertainment and shopping...

but not for petrol (but is ok la... other card can cover this )

what to do , no card are 100% perfect.

But carry too much card also headache , scare lost, scare forget pay

Ya, that's why keep in drawer.

but...i not sure i calculate correct or not .... Insurance payment most of the CB card will put in other categories which is 0.2%

As i remember their 5X TP = 1.25% ..... 1X TP mean 0.25 %.... then 0.25% is consider higher then 0.2% on other CB card.....
So i use it for auto pay as most of the insurance did not accept Trojan.

if you goto 1Utama or other Tiger Credit Card Centre to redeem on the spot Aeon Voucher RM100 , it will cost 40K TP .

Yup... so for insurance , 0.25% consider higher then other CB Card which under Others Categories 0.2%

Ya... i only go when got passby only. Not purposely go there for this.

Well beside this, the rest was just 1% ...

Ya, each time i went there over counter, they sure use affin terminal if i din mention use UOB terminal
