i applied the uob credit card by telemarketing.

and the telemarketing staff promise to waive the 1st year annual fee for me.

but in the end UOB customer service said that 1st year annual fee cannot be waived

any idea how to get back the annual fee waiver??

i applied One card platinium and already start using the card.

customer service staff very insist say the 1st year cannot be waive, but could waive in the following year.

i called third time and ask their officer to call me back, and i never receive the call from them at all.

i called them fourth time just now, they promise will call me back tomorrow before 12pm.

what could i if UOB refuse to waive for me the annual fee?

If no transaction after AF charged, you can just cancel it.

This is weird. How can 1st year AF is not waived but following year is.. sweat.gif rclxub.gif

I think the CS was misleading you.

My YOLO annual fee will be charged in September. So I called in to CS on 11/8/17 to cancelled the YOLO card (I don't use this card every month), CS told me to wait for retention unit to call me within 5 working days. I waited and waited and waited. Lost hope. Suddenly, received call today saying my coming Annual fee is waived. So I will keep it for another 1 year. rclxms.gif

my UOB ONE card kena charged AF after 2 years... just call CS ask for waive.. they say will get management approval and inform me via SMS within 24hours... so usually will kena waive? or i need to pay the AF?

If u didn't use the card after AF charge, u can cancel without paying AF

called me back again, reconfirm 2 yrs extended AF waiver: definitely agreed to accept laugh.gif next AF to be charged in year 2019.
