Hi wiraone,

I built my cpu coz if anything get roasted, it is easier for me to do R.M.A. The mobo n HDD both have 3 yrs warranty. All the parts i sourced locally except the Joycon EX steering control, M4-ATX and the ADS USB FM.

I install my pc in the boot coz there isn't much space in the cabin. I plan to stick the usb fm radio's antena to my rear shelf, hoping to get a good signal, if the reception is still bad, i will connect it to my existing radio antena. Btw, wiraone, how long does it take for ur mo-so-co car pc to be deliver to you? it has been 2 week and i still haven't receive the usb fm radio sad.gif

Went to Pasar Road to pick up some wires, switch, connectors etc etc and a few capacitors to replace the dead caps on my M4-ATX. Turns out after changing the caps, my psu is working fine..phew.... This M4-ATX is bought from Mo-SO-Co's ebay store..so i guess its the original smile.gif

Stripping the interior, need to run cables along the center and side.
Powering my hub and screen from the psu's regulated power.
[attachmentid=1590956][attachmentid=1590958][attachmentid=1590960]
Will connect my car pc directly to the amp.

These buttons have led in them, so they will serve as manual power & reset button + power and hdd indicator

oh.. nope, i stick 2 LED strips in the center console hole, tap it to a light-on 12v signal that was previously going to the head unit, but it is too bright, need to dim it down a little =)

Wa, nice setup there. Do you replace your HU totally? Have you receive your ads tech radio? Anyway, me still waiting for the obd2 interface & it has been two weeks already.
*
Yupz, no more HU, terus sambung to the amp. The onboard realtek sounds surprisingly good, 24-bit summore.. im amazed... can't imagine how great the sound will b if i drop in a audiophile level soundcard. brows.gif Already bought a pci slot extender with flexi cable.. Now waiting for further funding so i can get a decent soundcard. =)

Nop.. my usb FM radio not yet arrive.. wait till neck grew 1 inch longer edi... hahaha I use the cheaper USPS First class mail shipping option..no tracking number.. im albit worried.. sad.gif
I got my OBDII ELM327 (if not mistaken) from a felllow LYN forumer for free =) too bad proton doesn't use OBD protocal. Will keep it for my friend who wants to install a carpc in his vios.

wahh. everyone setup kaw kaw punya, i suddenly feel shame to post here. old car, messy cable management, cheapo gadget among you all.
*
Why feel shame? How i wish i know how to use fibreglass like you smile.gif
I personally think it is worth investing in a better screen and a proper automotive powersupply coz.. i don't have to worry about compatibility, reliability and safety issues.

Why? Put back all the original stuff .. and I'm 100% sure those who've carpc already fitted will rip it off their cars when they want to sell the car.

Ya, when fitting in the car pc i make sure every step is reversible.
