Playback Picture dimension, picture lagging

i notice that everytime i've download anime where dimension is in 1280x720 i can't play the file smoothly (sound first then the picture play very slow).other file in 704x396 no problem.is it the codec problem??. i already install codec klite, cccp,so what should i do.

The pixel is big which cause your graphic card lagging.

At least a 64MB Graphic card is sufficient for 720p Xvid/DivX
I assume your video file is encoded in h264. I suggest you use CoreAVC to decode.

make sure coreavc is decoding. turn off h264 on ffdshow.
use overlay mixer if you don't have enough cpu power.

i can get some 720p h264 stuff play without dropping frames on a 2500+ barton.
the lower bitrates, low motion, low frame rate.
i can get 1080p h264 play smoothly on a 2800+ sempron manila core.
