Hi everyone! I have a problem. I am sharing my car with my brother, a Kenari Aerosport (2006), and everything is stock for interior except the Head Unit which I have changed to a Sony which i dont know model, but basic one around 200 which accepts AUX.

As you can see by that statement i am quite the idiot in terms of audio stuff!

Now my brother is suggesting to get a subwoofer, tweeter or something else idk, because apparently he doesnt feel that extra "oomph" from the bass. I agree, the bass is pretty ok but while driving 100+ cant feel it if windows down. And if volume above 25+, sound gets distorted like speaker pecah. But below is fine.

Its all stock speakers in the car, 2 front at side door, 2 back at roof

With all that said, he is willing to pay for everything but dont know where to go and takut kena tipu–same for me. He has a budget of 300. I can probably top it up to 400-500, but preferably 300-400 spent. Dont want to spend that much on a old car which he is using more nowadays.

I would gladly appreciate advice on this matter and about the budget, and where i should go to get this done!

Thank you.

With Rm 300-400 budget, better just change all 4 speakers to sony or generic brand speaker. For bass, you can't expect much with that budget. If u topup another 500, maybe u can get a active subwoofer.

it all depends on your area.. best is just buy from online and replace ur self. Speaker only got 2 wire, no need to rewire anything. if u want to add subwoofer and amp, maybe u need to go to audio shop, but it is quite an easy task, most audio or alarm shop will have the capability to install for u.

If just wants more bass with such low budget, then can only add underseat powered subwoofer like MBQ or something. I also use that (but I use 2), decent enough for non discerning ears like me. laugh.gif

Get a decent 2-way speakers for the fronts and rear. More than sufficient to accommodate an upgrade from stock sound....

Your car is Kenari right ?

There's few sellers' I know selling JDM car speaker audio that can suit your budget... you can search @mudah --->"jdm "

If you're lucky, you can get active subwoofer at reasonable price within your budget.

Imo, Replace your front 2 way speaker first (speaker from Jdm seller.. Not the cheap new speaker from audio shop)...and start from there.. (I assume your head unit is ok.. Remember, good sound quality starts from the source).

I help many of my friends which go for these route and much happier compare to their stock speaker or cheap lousy speaker from audio shop.. If you in tight budget, you should go for it..
