Hardware MBPr mid 2014 15", Bottom swollen

I have this MBPr, yesterday suddenly i realise middle of the bottom part is swollen and not flat anymore. Is this normal? Will it cause any danger?

not normal. likely your battery is swollen... probably need to get it fixed. how old is the MBP?

almost 3y old..call apple they say need to change battery haiya

Yeah better change your battery quick. Luckily it is just swollen and not exploding.

Get it change quick before it swollen more and your trackpad gonna crack. Happened to my friend's 2011 mbp.

We call it spontaneous combustion. Imagine the recent fiasco on Korean brand smartphone have a single cell of the similar battery. Your MacBook Pro have 6 of them inside. Two of them are as large as the phone itself. So, do act fast and get it replaced, do not try to puncture the battery.

I change the battery this afternoon. All of the battery is bloated...

please use it until 0% then charge, in order to evenly wear out the cells.
