This post acts as a Simple Guide on how Sports Toto Malaysia works. We don't condone or condemn betting, this guide is solely for those interested how Toto system works and explanation of each options.

This is a draft so feel free to correct and ask any questions.


Toto draws are held on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7.00pm sharp

Minimum age to Bet: Legally 21

You can lose your IC but you can Never lose or damage your Tickets! Buy a ticket casing if you have to. Hook it up to your belt with an alarmed chain.

4D (4 "0 to 9" DIGITS ) (No Jackpot):
a.Standard (Big/Small). Min Bet: rm1.
b.i-Perm (4/6/12/24 + Big/Small). Min Bet: rm1.
c.Roll 1/4 + Big/Small (Roll 1: Select last 3 digits of 4D, Roll 4: Select First 3 digits of 4D). Min Bet: rm10.

4D Jackpot (4 "0-9" DIGITS per set):
a.Standard (2 sets of 4D numbers). Jackpot: JPT1 rm2mil-∞. JPT2 rm100k-∞. Winning Limit for 3rd/4th/5th Prize. Min Bet: rm2.
b.System Play (3 to 20 sets of 4D NUMBERs). Jackpot: JPT1 rm2mil-∞. JPT2 rm100k-∞. Min Bet: rm6.

Acronyms & Terms (note the CAPS i.e NUMBER & Number are 2 different things):

Bet: Purchased Amount in Ringgit Malaysia (rm). Each bet has minimum bet amount.

Prize Winnings: Prize Amount in rm. Each Category/Type/System has own payout amount.

Payout: Total Amount won in each category which includes Jackpot shares.

*It is possible for 1 NUMBER to win a Mutiple prizes (including both JPT1 & JPT2) under the SAME Category.

Categories: Different types of Toto games. 4D/5D/6D/6/55, 6/58, 6/63 are all separate Categories. 4D & 4D Jackpot share same Winning Numbers but Jackpot requires seperate purchase.

Type: Different options in same Category. i.e Standard/System Play/EZ-Bet.

Big: Eligible for 1st,2nd,3rd, 10 Special, 10 Consolation Prize. Smaller payout.

Small: Eligible ONLY for 1st, 2nd, 3rd Prize. Bigger payout.

Roll: Cover 0-9. Roll 1: "0-9"/a/b/c. Roll 4: a/b/c/"0-9". a/b/c buyer selected digits.

System Play: More Jackpot, Smaller JPT payout (Higher System Lower Payout).

EZ-Bet: Similar to System but more NUMBERs allowed. Smaller JPT payout (Higher System Lower Payout), more Opening NUMBERS & bigger normal payout.


DIGITS: 0-9.

Winning NUMBER: 4D/5D/6D/"6/XX". Set of 4/5/6 DIGITS/Numbers. All DIGITS/Number & position needs to match. For 4D Jackpot is 2 sets of NUMBERS in no Sequence.

Number: Starts from 1, Biggest Number selectable depending Category selected (6/55, 6/58, 6/64): 1-55, 1-58, 1-64.

6/XX (55/58/64): Winning NUMBER consist of 6 Numbers. Ranging from 1 to Biggest Number according to system (55/58/64).

System: For Jackpot. Amount of NUMBERs (4D & 6/XX) purchased. System 3 = 3 NUMBER.

Perm: Permutation (4D Only). Perm 4/6/12/24. Offers Different combinations of Selected 4 DIGITS. Lower perm higher payout. Depends on the 4 DIGITS you selected.

Sets Of Numbers: No of Combination of 4D/5D Numbers purchased. i.e System 10 = 210 Combinations of NUMBERs. Very Complex requires separate explanation.


JACKPOT related:

TSC: Total Stakes Collection. Total amount of bet placed.

Prize Pool: 55% Total Stakes Collection on each draw.

Snowball: Unclaimed Jackpot carry forward to next draw. Applies to individual Category Only.

∞ = No Maximum.

JPT: Jackpot. Each category has their own Jackpot.

4D JPT: Requires 2 sets of Matching NUMBERS (In No Sequence) to Win. Has JPT1 & JPT2.

JPT1: Jackpot 1. For 4D Jackpot Only. 55% Prize Pool (Total Stake Collection x55% x55% = TSC x0.3025) + Snowball JPT1 + Designated Min Payout for each category.

JPT2: Jackpot 2. For 4D Jackpot Only. 10% Prize Pool + Snowball JPT2 + Designated Min Payout for each category.

6/XX JPT: Requires Matching 6 NUMBERS in exact sequence. For Standard & System Play Jackpot is 65% of Prize Pool + min Jackpot/Payout + Snowball JPT. For EZ-Bet JPT based on fraction of JPT+Snowball.


Cascade: If JPT1 exceeds rm30mil with no Winner -> rm20mil excess goes to JPT2 winner -> If JPT2 no Winner, returns to JPT 1 Next Draw.

Apportionment: If JPT1/JPT2 have more than 1 winner. Distributed based on Bet Amount & Winning Share of each winner based on JPT1/JPT2. If Winners only from i-System & EZ-Bet, any leftovers will Snowball to next draw.

Share = Jackpot Divided among winners (of same JPT type).

Sports Toto Malaysia Categories Detailed Explanation:

1.4D (4 "0 to 9" DIGITS ) (No Jackpot):
a.Standard (Big/Small).
Pick 4 Digits. Place Bet amount on Big & Small. Min Bet: rm1. If you want only Big, you can put rm0 on Small.
Big: Eligible 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 10 Special, 10 Consolation Prize. Smaller payout.
Small: Eligible ONLY 1st, 2nd, 3rd Prize. Bigger payout.

Prize Winnings:


Prize Winnings is per Bet. So if you won 1st prize bought rm2 Big rm1 Small payout will be rm2500x2 + rm3500x1 = rm8500.


b.i-Perm (4/6/12/24 + Big/Small). Min Bet: rm1.
Select 4 DIGITS. Place Bet On Big & Small.
You win Prizes without having to Match DIGITS Position. Just need all 4 DIGITS in the Winning NUMBER to win.
Perm Number is based on the 4 digits you selected and you cannot select all same digits i.e 4444 as it is pointless.
Permutation: 4/6/12/24. Higher the Perm, more NUMBERS you get based on the 4 selected DIGITS (different combinations), but lower the Payout.
Perm 4: 3 identical Digits, 1 Unique Digit. i.e 1311
Perm 6: 2 pairs same Digits. ie 1122
Perm 12: 1 pair same Digits 2 Unique Digits. i.e 1231
Perm 24: All Unique Digits. i.e 1234

Prize Winnings:


Prize Winnings is per Bet. Payout according to Perm purchased. Same as 4D Standard, got Big (1st/2nd/3rd/SP/C) & Small (1st/2nd/3rd).


c.Roll 1/4 + Big/Small (Roll 1: Select last 3 digits of 4D, Roll 4: Select First 3 digits of 4D). Min Bet: rm10.
*Buy 1 NUMBER get 10 Numbers. Offer Convenience if you are confindent with 1st 3 or last 3 DIGITS. Same price per NUMBER though...
Roll 1 = Select Last 3 DIGITS for your NUMBER. 1st Digit is "Pau" a.k.a Guranteed covers "0-9".
Roll 4 = Select First 3 DIGITS for your NUMBER. 4th Digit is "Pau" a.k.a Guranteed covers "0-9".



Prize Winnings same as Standard 4D.



2.4D Jackpot (4 "0-9" DIGITS per set):
a.Standard (2 sets of 4D numbers). Jackpot: JPT1 rm2mil-∞. JPT2 rm100k-∞. Min Bet: rm2.
Winning NUMBER contains 2 sets of NUMBERs in no sequence order (DIGIT Sequence must match each NUMBER though).

Prize Winnings:


For JPT 1 you just need 2 NUMBERs that are in Top 3 4D Toto Result. i.e A + B, or B + A.
For JPT 2 you just need 1 NUMBER in Top 3, and 1 NUMBER in Special Prize.

Note there is Maximum Prize Winnings rm10mil EACH for 3rd, 4th & 5th Prize. Say if too many people won 3rd prize that exceeded rm10mil payout, the payout will be divided among winners share + bet amount so they get less than rm168 per rm2 bet.

No Limits on Jackpots but Note JPT1/2 has Cascading effects:




b.System Play (3 to 20 sets of 4D NUMBERs). Jackpot: JPT1 rm2mil-∞. JPT2 rm100k-∞. Min Bet: rm6@rm2 per Combination.
You can buy 3 or maximum 20 sets of 4D NUMBERs. If you buy 3 NUMBERS, it's called System 3, you get 3 sets of NUMBERs cost rm6.
If you buy 9 NUMBERS, it is System 9, you get 36 sets of Combination, cost rm72.

Prize Winnings & Criteria/Limits (Same as Standard):


Same as Standard except:
Higher System Level will have Bigger base prize.
It is possible to win multiple Prize with 1 bet.

Similar to System Play except minimum 10 sets of Numbers up to 20 sets. It is cheaper to bet than System Play.
Increases you winning chance as you can buy more sets with less money.
Downside is the JPT Winnings just a fraction of the JPT (Higher System less JPT share). Base payout is similar to System Play.

3.5D (5 "0-9" DIGITS) (No Jackpot):
a.Standard. Min Bet rm1.
Select 5 DIGITS to form your 5D NUMBER. Select Bet amount min rm1.
Win by matching your Digits to Winning NUMBER. 1 NUMBER entitled to only 1 Prize (Best available).




b.i-Perm (5/10/20/30/60/120). Min Bet: rm1.
Similar to i-Perm on 4 D. Your selected 5 DIGITS will decide how many Perms you are on.
Higher Perm, higher chance of winning per bet, but lower Prize.
Eligible for 1st, 2nd & 3rd Prize 5D NUMBER Only (a.k.a Small).





4.6D Toto (6 "0-9" DIGITS) (No Jackpot):
Standard. Min Bet rm1.
Select 6 DIGITS to form your 6D NUMBER. Place amount of Bet min rm1.
1 NUMBER Entitled to 1 Prize (Highest) Only.

Since 6/XX (6/55, 6/58, 6/63) Shares similar System i will lump them into same explanation:
a.Standard
Select 6 Sets of Number, ranging from 1 to XX, XX denotes either 55, 58 or 63.
NUMBER need to match Position of Wining NUMBER
6/55 offers lowest Potential Jackpot & Prize, 6/58 Medium, 6/63 Highest.

6/63 has lowest chance of winning due to additional Numbers, but highest potential Prize.

6/55 (Min rm1 per bet):


6/55 Offers Lowest Jackpot - 65% Prize Pool + Snowball (min rm3mil), Lowest base Prize (x number of bets) among all 3.

6/58 (Min rm2 per bet):


6/58 Offers Higher Jackpot - 65% Prize Pool + Snowball (min rm8.888888mil). High base Prize (x number of bets).

6/63 (Min rm2 per bet):


6/63 Offers Highest Jackpot - 65% Prize Pool + Snowball (min rm15mil), Highest base Prize (x number of bets).


b.System Play 7/15
Select from 7 up to 15 Sets of Numbers. More Numbers = higher System = more chance (higher Combination) = more expensive to bet.
Numbers just need to match the Numbers in Winning NUMBER (a.k.a no need in sequence). i.e 1st prize Winning NUMBER ABCDE -> ACDEB wins.
For example you buy System 8, you have 28 Combinations of 6D @ rm1 per set = rm28.
Jackpot amount same as Standard 6/XX.

Which game you should bet on really depends what you want. Obviously odds of Winning a Jackpot is lower than actually wining a Prize.

So ask yourself, you want to hit the Oil Field, or do you just want to increase your odds of winning a prize by putting more bets? or Why not both?

IMO 4D Toto Jackpot has the highest winning rate.

Also remember Jackpot is a % of the Bets Collected, but there are Minimum Jackpot payouts. So you might win more money In SUPREME than say GRAND. And You might win more money with Jackpot 2 if no one won Jackpot 1.

But as you can see, all Jackpots have been won frequently. Rarely Jackpots snowball more than 3 Draws. So even if the odds are small, the chances are there.

prize goes by per bet, unless it's jackpot related. for prize some has maximum payout so if too many people win exceed the limit they will only get a share on it depending on their bet.

for jackpot it's shared if there is multiple winner.

hi, for witnessing the draw, only people 21 or older & non muslim can participate.

i see no rule saying muslims over 21 cannot buy.

the problem is when claiming the prize, if small amount i think they don't care, but if big payout, they might bring in the religion card to refuse payment, simply because, it's against the law for muslims to judi, thus you committed a crime, thus, Sports Toto may have the reason to refuse payment.

No issue for payout below 30k. If 30k n above u need to collect at their hq. If below can just collect the winning at those small toto outlets. They dont even check ur ic.

since 4D involves only 10k numbers i think normal database can handle.

the difficulty part is updating the database manually for all the results including latest ones.

did you take into account the age of the Numbers opened into your calculation? for example a number just opened 1st time has lower chance to open in the next draw compared to a number that has opened 3 times but long ago etc?

Can just refer www.4d2u.com for the history draw for any set of numbers. From there u can use whatever theory calculations to get a pattern. I noticed the pattern will change after a big win.

Forgit the year, but there was this 1 year there was no pattern that i could establish. Which made me stop buying. The numbers are all totally random. Even if i got a set of numbers right, but it was impossible to get straight, only iperm winnings. Not sure about now though.

I always believed in chaos theory. From there i just hentam gaban make my own hentam gaban formula, which actually worked a few times. Hahaha

And the same can be calculated as 4*3*2*1 = 24 combination = RM24 = which is the betting amount you bet on (bao) for number 1234

So, if the number is 6799, the combination is lesser by half
the calculation = 4*3*1*1 = 12 combination RM12 = which is the betting amount you bet on (bao) for number 6799

However, if you hit first prize, the winning is RM2500....becoz every number combination was bet at RM1

I don’t see any reason they need to cheat, the probability of TOTO winning already more than 99.99%, if they cheat, nobody will win, then nobody will buy.

hi, Toto will never lose.

the jackpot is usually 55-65% of total betting placed, so the jackpot comes from the betters. only way they lose money is when not enough betters to cover that minimum jackpot amount set.

the rest of the prizes, are limited. so meaning if 100 people won and total payout is 100mil, which exceeds the limit of 1mil, then the 1mil will be split among the 100 people, so they get less than what they should. 1st & 2nd & 3rd prize no limit i think.

IIRC, if you bao, you still win the same amount if your number comes out. It's only like an "insurance".

no, i-perm you make less money, also it's not called "bao".

it depends what digit you selected as your number.

if you buy 1111 then perm 1 aka no perm normal bet.

if 1222, that is perm 4.

if 1122 that is perm 6

if 1233 that is perm 12

if 1234 that is perm 24

higher perm, lower payout. that is for Sports Toto, not others & underground Toto.

actually, in my #4 post, i said all categories have similar amount of chance for Jackpot.

you can tell because jackpot snowballs, if you look at min Jackpot amount and look at the accumulated Jackpot, you can tell it only accumulates for 2-3 draws before someone wins.

but of course, 4D jackpot has the highest probability, but no doubt, other categories also got people win once every few draws.

I know some people or gang, they actually pull their resources together so they can buy more number when the Jackpot amount increase over 30mil. So they will invest like 100-200k to try to win the 30 million

question is, will they buy the correct number?

also when win, conlanfirm will be chaos. many people will die in the process claiming the prize.

my earlier calculation for jackpot is incorrect.

jackpot1 chances of winning is 1 in 50mil, as prize 1,2 & 3 can claim
jackpot 2 chances of winning is 1 in 3.33mil

of cause you have to find those people u can trust.
