Hi SalmonJames,

Wordpress would be good choice for you, it is well developed platform, suitable for both DIY or get online vendor do it for you.

I have heard cases that one can start develop online store himself than later on ask help from online vendor to add some features onto the online store which an amateur is hard to accomplish. Or most commonly, people just bought into a online vendor service at the beginning and then maintain the online store by themselves.

Depend on your current situation, I would give different suggestions, they can be:
Start your clothing business on facebook first, gather some fund, then go for a online store build by web specialist.
Opt in to online shopping mall, for example 11 Street.
Build your own store at minimal budget, by your self.

Well you want best cms, but you said you have insufficient funds, which is not possible to get it nowadays...

And actually there isn't any 'best' as online store are frequently changing and advancing.

Like amazon or lazada their CMS is all custom build to serve the sales team need(sales functions or any of their operation or inventory needs) and customer UI/UX improvement, and so on.

Wordpress is a good choice, since later on can build into WooCommerce.

OpenCart is nice, and my company are using it. Cheap to maintain, just OK for functionality and flexibility.

Later on my company will switch to Magento, but it said could be one of the most expensive CMS to maintain but in returns it serves the top flexibility compare to other.

The best CMS always expensive such as Magento, since you didn't have insufficient funds, try the easystore.co , there is a 14 days trial after that the lowest monthly subscription is $32.50. Great for the beginner who don't have a coding knowledge and support Malaysia payment gateway.

Pros: easy to setup, cheaper monthly subscription.
Cons: not many template choices and less attractive design.

I recommend you to start with the trial version, and then upgrade to paid version, once you have more funds and ready to go to next level, try the shopify.com CMS.

I think wordpress should be your first choice, otherwise Woocommerce or Magento can also be considered as premium options.
