hi there i'm very new in this
 just to check with you guys are these bootleg version from Taiwan? is there any differences with the original? it looks very much the same to me & the best thing is the price is ok. normally who is the manufacturer for these toys in the past. we all know Transformers is produced either by Hasbro & Takara the genuine products. how bout them. what is the different between these chogokin, godaikin, popy, trendmaster, max factory? hope you guys can give me some history lesson. recently i found that some of this robots like dancouga, voltron, gaogaigar, voltes v to name a few worth to look at. its classic, die-cast & best of all no re-color like mad as the Transformers. i think i wanted to switch my aim to this. sometime rather fed up with TF recolor & recolor & poor quality but with an exorbitant price for an inferior quality eg. the masterpiece. it's endless. sorry if i'm wrong.

Mostly between RM500 - RM700, which is considered "standard". mb can transform 1... wanna buy 1 ....also where more cheap?? SOC has a fair share of tf and non-tf mechas, so feel free to prefer which one you like. But beware, SOC is kinda hard to sell after you buy it. |

wow aquarion, i'm watching this anime now still fresh with me.

too late for d dat 1..... all of d CM's GGG discontinued already

Actually I not interested in Godmarz, I just helping my friend who gone overbudget with his hauling .Appearance : When I thought MP Prime was heavy, until this one comes along. Combination : After you combine them, you can put the instruction aside, it's a walk in the park for those who always enjoying changing a robots/mecha back anf forth. It's easy to memorise. Articulation : Just too bad, but due to its size, I won't complain much, can't expect it to be as agile as SOC Gunbuster XD. |

The Toynami Voltron figure looks great... and pretty nice on the pocket as well. Looking to preorder, any body here got the die cast version? just wondering how was the quality? heard it had CQ issues.
And i don't know whether this is it, cause it sounds like he is comparing... but there is a review (the reviewer is really creepy). |

Overall the transformation is easy after I combine them, don't let the complicated joints and all fool you, it's that easy when you want to put them back to the box or display them individually. Gaia is the most articulated of them all, you can deliberately making him do high kick, side kick or flying with style. Most joints are metal and heck what can I say ? It's good. Some covers are tight, as I broke small part of my fingernail when I try to open the body of Titan. Good thing though. |

Went to XL-shop Midvalley today to put down a deposit for the Voltron figure... but pulled out at the last minute when i overheard a conversation between a buyer and the sales assistant, he claimed that the Voltron is a 1 piece figure and that the lions cannot be detached. I hope that i am wrong, can anybody confirm this?

from bigbadtoys i believe all the lions can be separated. unfortunately each lion doesn't come with theirs own weapons. i remember last time i had a fat diecast ver. which all lions came with theirs own weapons and missiles.

how come they reproduce this Tetsujin 28 again? isn't that the soc already have this T-28 + Black Ox? what are the differences?
this Gurren seems like a newer version of Zambot 3 to me. each of them has a crescent on their head. normally i like to watch the anime 1st before i cultivate any interest in the robot 'tak tau tak suka, sudah tau baru suka' attitude. |

Good evening guys, id just like to share with you one of my long-awaited haul and want.
These folks costed me 600 SGD for BOTH. But it was DAMN WELL worth it..   This guy is EXTREMELY well built. ALL his skeletons + SOME parts of the decorative armor are die cast. The heaviest one of them all would be Vector Sol, as in the Red Jet.  One of my primary worries with this toy is that i've read mixed feedbacks regarding wether or not this guy can stand without the provided Stand Support. I've read that the joints are flimsy, and it is most definately not. The joints are ratchet joints, in fact, a LOT of the ratchet joints are diecast. The only flimsy part is when they are gattai-ed, located at the abdomen part. Somehow rather, its a tad bit flimsy, but it does not affect Aquarions ability to stand.    As you can very well see, the Solar Aquarion mode DOES NOT require a stand, i havent tested the other two modes yet. However to make Solar Aquarion stand, the two heel attachments for Vector Mars (Blue Jet) is needed. Better that than the stand. Here he is alongside my other fav toy, Masterpiece Great Exkaiser.  As you can see as well, he is also another towering bad diecast mfkr. Have not opened up the Assault/Onslought type Aquarion yet. For GX-15, it'll run you for about RM 500++ to 600++. For GX-16, it'll run you for about RM 200++ to 400++. But please bear in mind that these above prices are for BRAND NEW ITEMS. Yours appear to be MIB, or BIB, so do price accordingly. GX-15 or the Asuka Langley one is very expensive because it is really rare and hard to come by. Thankfully im not an evangelion fan, if not id have just blown 1000plus plus. Dont let your friend screw you over, but please dont screw him over too. Price accordingly that is all. |

I have source saying Gurren Lagaan will have 2nd release so it should be more resonably priced.
BTW you can check my thread and see if the SOC is priced reasonable. Anybody here collects Bandai UltraChogokin series? So far only 6 were produced; ive only gotten 3 of them
Ultraman Taro, Ace & Nexus    Like all chogokin lines from Bandai, these are heavy, and unfortunately due to their smaller footprints (compared to mecha chogokins) they are harder to pose without toppling over. Still, beautiful chogokins all |

Meh I have that Mazinger Head. Bought it quite cheap didn't expect price to shoot so high now.
Now need a spare Hover Pileder it's my favourite. Anyone want to let go Getter Robot 3 in 1 Normal Color version? i have been looking for miracle house red wing either white or gray body(not chrome) version of mazinkaiser for quite long to pair with my shin getter... but it's almost impossible to find here.... and post malaysia will tax me if i get online due to the price of the item... also i'll have to go to their office near air asia to collect and clear payment for tax.. some of the chogokin item is really hard to find here... baikanfu is a good example...

Undici, do you know how to make those black backdrops in the Tetsujin double pack picture?
Seems the floor is really glossy and shinny type while the background is flat black. I think japanese toys use these kind of backdrop quite often. |

I saw the Volts in a Box actual thing today, the box was cool like typical MG Gundam, with a handle, but the actual robot, kinda strange.
I know they are using the old Popy paint scheme and decals, but it just looks weird, not as good looking as the picture depics. BTW forgot the 1st version can it transform into the big vehicle? |

Bandai Chogokin is expensive enough. Fewture Chogokins are priced like Rolex compared to Seiko for Bandai, and Rolex tend to limit their quantity by measuring supply vs demand so the price will never drop.
People say the paint quality is exceptional but i have seen display set, they still have flaws. I never like low quantity release, but it's their choice. Boycotting Fewture FTW! |

Bro you forgot the Yamato Super Robot Line. I have the Getter Dragon it looks very nice and heavy. Slightly smaller than Bandai version but for that kind of price (under rm100) it's well worth it, but only come with extra hands and 2 Tomahawk. Regret only bought the Getter Dragon when an Uncle recommended be getting that line.
I think Bandai is more anime accurate than the Fewtures... I like originals. |

So far SIC Shadowmoon is the best looking SIC.
I still refrain myself from buying monsterlized robots. It will never end. Trying to refrain from Bandai. The prices are getting so high it's difficult to maintain. A Bandai Mazinger used to be rm180, now they keep releasing rm500+ chogokins... I'm sure the Super Robot Wars Deizengar & Horse & Daitarn 3 will be at the rm700 mark. |

Combattler & Volts weren't passing the rm500 mark back then. I remember only the Space Battle Ship Yamato is priced over rm500 (it's now worth rm1000 oh why did i choose Gaiking!), and the next expensive Chogokin is 1st edition Gaiking, which is near rm500, after that was Gren Dizer (normal) around rm300, Mazingers around rm180 & the female Mazingers around rm140.
BTW i notice my Great Mazinger 2nd version is having his knee blades sticky, it's made of rubber was wondering any of you guys have that problem? The 1st version blade chrome has faded slightly so i went and wrap them with cut out plastic bags. Did some survey... the Max Factory Mazinkaiser is totally out of my range... but undeniable it's really cool looking... guess i'll stick back to Aoshima white colour or gey colour(not crome type) Mazinkaiser with red wing... i think it's more anime accurate if you compare it with the one that Max Factory have... but it's going to cost me around 600+... still have Dark General Ankoku Daishogun of Mazinkaiser series, Baikanfu and Dancougar(not the colour accurate version that cost around 1000++) in my wish list... or maybe Dancougar Nova in the future...

Added on January 14, 2009, 8:21 amno wonder the wing looks different.... the only thing i dont like about Max Factory Kaiser is.... the hands and legs area tends to be in different colour with the shoulder area under certain light source.... and why make the legs area in chrome but leave the hands area in normal paint...? anyway... more poisons... i saw another perfect change getter before... but the colour a bit metallic... not something like this... this one looks nicer.... and the price too... 30 inch... wonder is it in die cast...

I would like to buy SRW OG Alteisen Reise.... sadly there arent any.... and i dont the want model kit type... this is the one that dengki hobby release... it's $#@$@ expensive now due to it's limited production....   cute version... not too shabby...  this one not bad... Wow just looking at those boxes i can imagine how great the SRX is. I believe this piece is the "Ultimate Combiner" toy, even though it's not chogokin.
The cute version of Altesien, is model kit as i never seen a proper SD OG. You can get some of those Denki Hobby SRW OG figures by buying the limited edition copy of the PS2 games, they are now only rm200+. Check Playasia out. If you read the Super Robot Wars magazine you see all the figures released by Denki Hobby. There's alot and they are rare, even got the White Tiger/Dragon robot. yah... i bought their magazine... and I'm poisoned by that... there's lots of nice mecha....
I know that there's a package of OG game with a free Alteisen figure.... I saw that... it's the first version of Alteisen... the quality wasnt that good... besides... the one that I'm looking for is the later version... Alteisen Reise... just hope that they will release one later on... |
