Hey guys.
I am planning to buy this IPAD 2017.
But its now storage wars, 32gb vs 128gb.
My sole purpose is to play games (Asphalt 8: Airborne types of games) and watch youtube videos..
Any thoughts?

32gb enough since you dont mention storing videos on the device. I own a 32gb one, still left around 20gb with some games.

If you're planning to use it for a few years, you might want to consider getting the 128 gb one. You might find that you'd have more things to store and install as time passes.

Not sure how long yet but what are the "more things to store" that could possibly occur?
what are your experiences? nod.gif

For me, i plan to use my ipad until it dies on me laugh.gif so i got the 128gb. I tend to store a lot of photos, music, movies etc etc.
I've got the 3rd gen ipad, 32gb, and i find it's not enough biggrin.gif . I have been using it for almost 5 yrs. smile.gif

Pricing is the culprit of my hesitation.
32GB - RM1549
128GB - RM1999.
Does it worth to pay RM450 just for the additional 96GB? I fret not, a 128GB SSD cost nearly half of it.

Photos.. I have been always finding it funny to hold a 10" device to snap pictures! rclxms.gif

Yea...the cost difference is significanr. For me, i feel it's worth it coz I believe it's always good to have extra space and not having to worry about insufficient storage. smile.gif
Good luck on yr decision!
Haha i used to go around snapping fotos with my 3rd gen Ipad biggrin.gif Now i do it on my iphone and the fotos go to my ipad tongue.gif

if you are mainly just to consume content directly Internet and not to store them inside the iPad for offline viewing.

Yes, 32GB should be sufficient even with gaming possible.

iPad usage and iPhone usage are quite different. iPhone you may likely to take a lot of photos or 4k videos, which it will certainly take up a lot of space overtime.
iPad are mostly for media consumption which if you do not store media files on it. no problem for 32gb.

i have 128gb ipad mini 2 and i put quite a lot of videos inside just to fill up the storage but i noticed that i hardly watch them again.
so end up it is a waste of storage since most of the time those contents are idle.
if let me choose again, 64gb (if available), it will be the best storage size for my iPad.
while for my iphone, if there is 512gb, i may even choose to go for it, since i really take a lot of photos.

Yea its a good feeling to have worry free storage IMHO.
Most likely will be heading for 32gb due to my usage of iPad are games and watching youtube videos.
Perhaps I should research on how big the games are, as I will easily install around 10++ games.
Thanks anyhow for your replies and sharing.

True, I have my own external HDD of 500gb and i stored nearly 300gb of movies, the thing is i hardly search back to watch the movies over and over again.
For photos, me personally have a mirrorless camera hence i seldom take as well.

Worst case, gonna purchase iCloud?

Congratulations! After getting your first, I am very sure there will be many more to come wink.gif

Over the years I have swapped iPads from the first iPad to iPad 3, iPad Mini, iPad Mini 2, iPad Air, iPad Pro 12.9", the new iPad 9.7" and now the iPad Pro 10.5

The two minis still function and is used within my family. Sadly the first iPad is dead and I can't seem to start it and the iPad 3 only just died as well. That is how long they last!

Hahaha but to be frank, even though I have an Office 365 account, I rarely use office on my iPad
