All of the stock comes from China, the assembly is all there. Singapore is routed through for distribution in the region. So when it comes from Singapore means that there is stock available there that hasn't been allocated to the local market. If yours come from China means that Singapore has run out of stock and they need to get direct from China. If you compare the manufacturing number, you would probably see that the set from Singapore was manufactured first before the one you get in China. Probably the difference is in days or weeks. So in essence, yes one is old stock and one is fresh from factory.

Just received mine this morning. 1 day earlier than promised. The iPad was shipped from China and routed through Hong Kong, Singapore, then Malaysia. Respectable job and traceability by DHL.

Coming from iPad Air 1, I find the new iPad looks super familiar. Sorry folks. Can't do much in comparison of the laminated screen of Air 2. The weight and size are the same as my old Air 1. I'm using the old casing on this new iPad. The alignment of the volume and camera are different from Air 1. Luckily the power support back casing is working well. The Smart Cover for Air 1 works great on this new iPad.

Performance wise. It is sweet 😍 Battery performance, too early to tell. It is a good buy.

Screen similar to the air ?

I would say it is similar. I have been pretty happy with Air 1 screen. iPad 2017 doesn't disappoint.

Basically, iPad 2017 doesn't have any exciting features. Coming from Air 1, I feel like I am basically using the same iPad. Just faster, and much smoother.

Laminated screen is nice to have but no complains visually for my previous Air.
At this price for 32Gb and our weak RM, its a steal !.

It fits the Apple Air cover. As for the Apple case it fits in but the volume control and the camera hole are not aligned.
Anybody have experience how to cut the camera hole on the case wider ?

I think people are asking whether this iPad 2017 is inferior to iPad Air 2. To the naked eye, I see no difference at all. Placed side-by-side with my older iPad Air 2, I could hardly identify which is which.

On my weighing machine, iPad Air 2 is 443 grams while iPad 2017 weighs 455 grams, so it is just that little bit heavier.

At this offer price with 32GB storage, just go for it.

Do you guys think that the 128gb model is worth the price? Just worried that the 32gb capacity may not be sufficient in the long run.

I got the black and I'm telling you, I was blown away by the quality of the screen (resolution, colour accuracy, and how perfectly sized it is for working on content, etc) that I had totally completely forgotten about the air gap Maybe it's the colour so it's not so obvious, but it's seriously nit picking to want to look into that detail It's like looking for dust in the speaker holes lol. Seriously

can u test, open more than 5 tabs in safari, then u switch tabs, does every tab refresh everytime u switch

No it doesn't refresh even with 20 tabs opened. I didn't bother testing with more

Welcome to "the world is flat". They have a logistic hub in China and Singapore because these two countries serve asia pacific fulfillment. The cost of delivering an item from China and Singapore is way lower than sending a batch of ipad and store it in Malaysia for local delivery. Moreover storing here got risk of theft and require overhead, to rent a warehouse/labour/electricity etc.

They deliver with DHL in a very low cost compare to what we deliver via counter. They have bargain power in large bulk delivery.

Just walk in to any Machines and ask the staff. They already have stocks eventhough you don't see any demo units available in store.

Just bought one.

May i know which Machines store u visited?

Staying within Safari, it is working well with many tabs opened. No refresh or reloading noticed.

However, after a while and working with other apps, returning to safari will cause the tab to reload. I think that is normal before it is trying to fetch latest information.
