This is the first time Disney (or rather Bill Condon) had acknowledged the existence of a 'gay' character in a kid's feature film. This has been blown out of proportion thanks to the "confirmation".
Had it not been for the confirmation, it would have merely been an allusion; whereby some will agree or disagree that the character is 'gay' but still being able to keep the integrity of the film with no cuts. I'm pretty sure, there are plenty of references / connotations of other kid's characters who could have been gay but the difference is that none have been officially been confirmed.
Imagine if there was NO confirmation of LeFou's orientation... watch that scene in question again; it is such an innocent / fun scene with little to no hint of that so-called "moment".
So who's at fault? I would say both sides had a part in it. Disney / Bill Condon for that "confirmation" and the censorship board for being so overly sensitive.
My kids & their friends has been looking forward to watch it in cinema since few months back when the trailer hits the Astro Disney channel They even already set a date to watch it as a group next week on school holiday
Imagine their dissapointment when told it's not showing in local cinema and yet Disney still bombarding the Disney Channel on Astro with non-stop trailer
Killing is allowed for the censorship board? Where is the logic?
So rest of the world the premier the show uncut, these countries children's all damned? Malaysian children morally best? Look at rempits and the rest, damn it
Seeing its lukewarm score on RT, I'm already unexcited to see it. I mean, even the dumb mindless fun flick Kong beat its score. Already cast my doubt seeing the trailer, the beast and watching Emma singing. While Jungle Book live action is an upgrade version of its classic animation counterpart, the same seems can't be said for this. Nevertheless, I'll still be catching this on Wednesday and of course not here

Yup. good news indeed. However, it's PG13 now, which means kids are not allowed.
BAH! Typical Malaysian parent will still bring their kids to watch also.
Remember Deadpool movie which was aired last year? Can see some uncle complaining at newspaper about Deadpool movie feat. curses, F words and dirty words which was not suitable for children.
