I'll be moving to a new house in Sri Utama soon, any WoW players from that area?
If yes, how is the Streamyx connection there? Easy to get the "good" IPs?
WoW'ers near Bandar Utama, Need some info/advice

I am a WoW-er at a BU area near Centerpoint. It really depends on your housing area. i have a friend which stays very close by to me, but it's in an older part of BU, he suffers quite badly from time to time. Sometimes it's good.. sometimes its not.
If like me in a new housing area (you'll know because they'll say at first you cannot get streamyx because your area is using fiber).. then you're in luck. I've been a very contented Streamyx user for the past 2 years and i have never had any serious problem or downtime. My link is stable and the speed is as good - if not better, than some lease lines I've seen. Again, it really all depends on your area. If it's filled with students.. you know, anime junkies.. p2p junkies.. then.. l .. o.. l... |

I live in TTDI area now, quite easy to get 218.111 IP which is preferred WoW IP. What sort of IP ranges are easy to get in BU area? Sri Utama is very close to where you are, just beyond Tropicana housing area.

New housing area aren't like your regular copper-based networks. they're eventually hooked up to a fiber loop which in addition to provide much better capacity, are probably more reliable too. However, new housing area don't get Streamyx - this was 2-3 years ago.. remember we had to get some "pizza box" installed?.. nowadays it's commonplace.
I have no problems with ANY IPs, 218.x, 219.95, 219.94, or sometimes even the elusive 60.x |
