So Malaysia is a country, and our country has several states like Kuala Lumpur, Sabah, Sarawak, the list goes on..
What about UK? Is UK considered a country or a kingdom? like UK is the country and there are 3 provinces which are england, scotland, wales and ireland?
a little bit confused here cuz i heard their province/state system works differently than ours
states and provinces
#1 states formed with independance sultan
#2 they later joined together and form a larger entity later such as Malaysia
#3 google "the forming of malaysia"
#4 malaysia has many sultans ... p.s. brunei sultan didnt want to join Malaysia
#1 States conquered many land under 1 ruler/party/king
#2 for easier control, they split their country into parts known as provinces
#3 in the state of selangor, the negeri has provinces but since it is small enough to govern, they terus tembak "District"? (correct me if wrong)
 sorry i tembak salah
"As nouns the difference between district and province is that district is an administrative division of an area while province is a subdivision of government usually one step below the national level; (canada) one of ten of canada's federated entities, recognized by the constitution and having a separate representative of the sovereign (compare territory).
