I tried to copy a dvd containing RMVB file (Anime show) to thumbdrive. But before it could finish it stop. Can i actually copy the rmvb file to thumbdrive? the reason why i wan to do this is because my dvd rom can;t run the dvd. It run for a while and it stop. So i bring it to my office and the dvd can run. Since it can run, i wan to copy it to my thumbdrive and bring back to watch..

maybe u tried to copy 1GB hentai to 256MB thumbdrive? check the size lah. any file can be copy pasta to thumbdrive.

Of course you can copy rmvb file to the thumbdrive. But maybe the file that can't be run already corrupt. That's why cannot copy. Anyway try open the dvd on another pc/dvddrive or try to copy to hdd first.

This happens alot of time.

edit : miss the part you can open it. Try copy to hdd first.

Now this is a contructive opinion..
Anyway, i think this happen due to error in reading the dvd cds. Sometimes ok sometimes not. After restart PC, i can finally copy it to hdd and from hdd copy to thumbdrive. There is about 40 episod but i can only manage to copy 30 episod. Another 10 can't be copy. Maybe file corrupted as u said.

Actually i wanted to copy to thumbdrive is that my Asus Notebook dvd rom seems to read the cds a while only before it stop thus making the show freeze. But my office dvd rom can play the file without problem. So i guess Asus dvd rom a little sensitive. So wat i got to do is to copy the file out to thumbdrive and bring back to watch..

To avoid lagging or system overrun, copy the file from dvd to hdd first before copied to thumbdrive

i got a this type case b4 ...
i wan 3 copy some file to hdd n it said that the file is damaged or corrupted...
bt the file can play in my dvd-rom....
i think that is the dvd's heart some part damaged.....

the dvd b0rk la.
dah copy back up again.
