As stated in the topic, Currently most newer Mobo come with nvme support for boot drive. So my question is Is it an overkill to buy nvme over SSD? (Samsung 960 Evo vs 850 Evo) Since 960 Evo is quite expensive over 850 Evo ( 250GB/Rm650 vs 250GB/RM455) Should i get one for boot device and have 850 EVO as Steam Library? Or i just get a 250GB 850 Evo and get 2TB Mechanical Drive and i save a lot from this

the 960 is built on the already good 850, so it's nothing wrong going with the 850. the difference between the 960 and 850 is almost on a microscopic level you wouldn't really notice it
games don't benefit much from SSD. the only major improvement is loading times, and even then it's not day and night difference. imo, it's always best to start SSD + HDD configuration especially on a limited budget

Like the video mentioned, not worth it to use PCIE SSD for gaming. Use it to get bigger SATA SSD.
