Hi,

Last week I use Mobizen app (video screen recording) and then suddenly i got notification said the memory is almost full. So, i stop the recording and the next thing happen is i cannot add any file on it anymore. Luckily, I can copy all the media through usb connected to my laptop. And when I try to format my microSD card (using SD card reader), windows unable to complete the format. I try googling, and run checkdisk and here is the screenshot

Attached Image

Is there any way for me to remove the write protected? I really hope i can re-use my Microsd card again since 64gb is expensive for me to buy it again sad.gif

if you claimed you card is genuine, sandisk card does come with very long warranty,

class 4 - 5 years warranty
class 10 (48MB/s) - 7 years warranty
class 10 (80MB/s) - 10 years warranty
class 10 (90MB/s) - Lifetime warranty

make sure you keep the packaging, as the sticker on the packaging can show whether you card is genuine or not.

I think it could be one of the attribute which holds the lock bit is enabled.

There is a reason for that: https://kb.sandisk.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/8656

I suggest you to RMA it. If you still want to try, maybe you can reset the MBR using Linux.

Open Diskpart Utility For Removing Write Protected From Memory card

1. Open Command Prompt and type "diskpart" and press Enter key.

2. After opening diskpart type “list disk” and again press Enter button.

3. Now type “select disk 1” to select your sd card and press Enter key again.

4. To remove write protection from sd card type “attributes disk clear readonly” and hit Enter.
