Is it possible to set up 3/4 monitors with just 1 HDMI port? I mean i do have other ports as well, but I just want to use the HDMI port and connect it to multiple screens, but sadly i have only 1 hdmi port.

Im using a GTX960. And I'm currently using 2 DELL SE2417HG and plan to get 1 more or 2.

Will a splitter work? Does it just clone the screen or allow extended desktop?

Thanks..

I tried before with spliter, it only clone the screen.
Then i used VGA, HDMI and display port to connect different monitor, it works as extended desktop.

Unfortunately the SE2417HG doesn't have DisplayPort, if not you can use one DisplayPort and daisy chain them up (up to 4) with just 1 DisplayPort output from your GPU, now your solution would be using an adapter.

It is a feature of DisplayPort.

Use one of the DisplayPort outputs of your GPU to connect all the monitors you have (provided they all have DisplayPort input and limit isn't reached yet), choose the main monitor, then connect the DisplayPort output from your GPU to the DisplayPort input of the chosen monitor, then get another DisplayPort cable and plug into the DisplayPort output of the first monitor and connect the end to the second monitor's DisplayPort input.

Keep on doing it until the limit is reached, 3 to 4 monitors are supported with DisplayPort 1.2, remember to enable the MST/Daisy Chaining of the monitor to use this feature.
